Bob's Slider's Paradise

Okay, don't get me wrong. I love the show Slider's, but this is the place where I list what I find offending or wrong about the show, and my theories about the show. You may not aggree with my "beefs" so don't complain about them to me. And so it doesn't make me sound like a grumpy old man, no offense intended, I've added possible explanations.

My beefs

How they make fun of Canada

On almost every season four episode, they make fun of Canada, merely because they don't know anything about the world they slid into. This wouldn't usually be bad, except then Canadians get the 'rep' of being idiots, who don't know how the rest of the world works. I am offended by this, because as a Canadian I know a lot about how the world works.

Possible explanation:

If they say they're from Canada, and they don't know what's going, or has gone on in the past while, one could think that it's only America that is soo different from Earth Prime.

The vortex

The vortex is only supposed to stay open for 60 seconds. Yet in many episodes, the last slider to jump, will always wait a while, risking to be trapped. But the vortex never closes in 60 seconds. Only after the sliders jump in.

Possible explanation:

The time factor is TV shows isn't the same as ours. In Television, time passes too quicky when something bad is going to happen, and slow when something good is going to happen (my theory). Supposing this is true, When the last slider is left, and has had a good experience on the world, time slows enough to let the character say his/her goodbyes, and still make the slide.

Bring Wade back!

I don't know what the deal is with the actress that plays Wade, But I want Wade back! She is far better than Maggie! And the thought of Wade being in a kromagg breeding camp... it sickens me. they should bring her back.

Possible explanation:

I think that the reason Wade "dissapeared" was mainly because I think the actress got a role in a new ABC show (rumour has it). Whether this is, or isn't true, it's still pretty sad to see her go.

Kromagg evolution???

It seems that ever since the second season episode "Invasion" (first Kromagg appearence) that the Kromagg's have evolved quite a lot from their origonal appearence. In Season 2, the were short, ugly creatures that couldn't speak english, and resembled apes. But in the fourth season, they have 'evolved' into almost normal people, except with a darker skin, different skull structure. They know speak english as thier primary language, and they are about as tall as the average person. Now, in the space of two seasons, are we suppose to forget what Kromaggs look like, and just accept the new look? I don't think so.

Possible explanation:

We really don't know a lot about Kramagg society. For all we know, there could be two different rationalities, one being the Kromaggs first seen in "Invasion", and the second being the Kromaggs we see in the fourth season.

My other theories

Pilot, and The Young and the relentless

My theory about these 2 episodes are that they are linked. This is why i think that. In the first episode, The Alternate Quinn that came to Earth Prime, and solved the quation for sliding, kissed Wade. Then, hilst talking with Quinn. Mentioned that he was married. Now, if he was married, and also kissed Wade, maybe his home world was the one featured in "The Young and the Relentless". Where Quinn and Wade were married. The only problem, is that in "The Young and the Relentless" the alternate Wade never mentioned that her Quinn had invented Sliding on her world. But just because she didn't mention it, we don't know whether he did or not...

Why the theory is wrong:

This theory would be flawless, except that in "The other slide of darkness" we found that the Quinn that gave our Quinn the equation was really very much alive! Also, we found outt hat he gave the Kromaggs the Sliding technology as well! It's his fault Wade is gone!
