The Top Ten GH Villains and Adversaries

10. RYAN CHAMBERLAIN (villain): Oooh, he was a real bad guy! What a good thing he died in that fire. Now we know he’ll never be back. I feel safer already.

9. TAGGERT (adversary): He’s such a worthy adversary for Sonny. His grasp of police procedure coupled to his uncanny ability to collect evidence has led to a conviction rate unparalleled in the entire United States of America.

8. SONNY CORINTHOS (?): The Mob Boss with a heart of gold, he manages to run a major mob organization without ever hurting anyone but his own wife and/or girlfriends. I almost believed he’d go straight when he started that coffee business, ‘cuz mobsters never use coffee to disguise the cocaine they’re smuggling.

7. MAC SCORPIO (??): The ex-mercenary, ex-private detective, current Police Commissioner. I can’t decide whether he’s bad, good, or just plain ineffective. Can you?

6. HELENA CASSADINE (villain): Everyone (From Luke to Stefan) is terrified of the evil deeds this granny from Hell is capable of. So far she has wreaked havoc in PC by wandering around taunting people. Oooh.

5. LUKE SPENCER (adversary): the most paranoid man on earth is convinced that everyone (from the mob to Helena Cassadine) is out to get him. So naturally, when someone “kills” his son, Luke accepts his death as an accident, and tries to move on.

4. STEFAN CASSASINE (villain): Laura believes him to be completely harmless, despite the fact that he kidnapped her mother and pretended she was dead for 10 years. Katharine believed he was harmless, even though he shot and paralyzed her. Nikolas is proud to be his son, despite the incident on the cliff in Switzerland (not to mention that whole “I’m your Uncle” thing). This guy may seem inept, but he’s obviously crafty enough to trick his nearest and dearest.

3. LAURA SPENCER (adversary): Faked her own death because she was afraid her one true love Stefan was a danger to her family (but of course, NOW he’s ok). Her fake death was so convincing because her body was rendered unrecognizable by the fire. Does this sound familiar to anyone??? Should Laura maybe have spent more than 30 seconds considering the possibility that Helena had a role in Lucky’s death? Or that he wasn’t dead? Hello!

2. CESAR FAISON (villain): Has all the trademarks of a true villain: he plays chess (hey, so did Stefan!), wears clothing from the seventies, has long unwashed tresses, speaks with a generic Eastern European accent and most importantly, is presumed dead.

1. ROBIN SCORPIO (villain, definitely): OK, she may appear innocent, but she’s the mastermind behind most of the bad things that happen in PC. Example 1: Testifies for Tony Jones, keeping him out of prison. He now wanders around PC having boring conversations that we the viewers are forced to watch. Example 2: Tells AJ he was Michael’s father, ruining a perfectly good Jason/Carly storyline and forcing us the viewers to watch months of bad Baby Morgan footage coupled with gratuitous Edward bluster and AJ ass-kissin’. Example 3: Did we even need examples 1 and 2? Isn’t it bad enough we have to listen to her whiny voice? This woman is Satan.
