Time: 00:00 20 Seconds |
Look! NO recap! But since this is the "continuation" of episode 6, I guess they assumed we were smart enough to remember what happened in the previous episode during the commercial break. |
Time: 00:58 |
When Van fights the mercenaries, the BGM "Charm" was originally playing. Instead, the Fox favorite, "Dance of Curse", appears again. |
Time: 03:31 2 Minutes, 11 Seconds |
After Van leaves the table, there is more reandom discussion. Meiden wonders where Hitomi is from, to which Millerna replies that it's someplace far away with strange customs. It is then revealed that Millerna is engaged to Meiden's son. Hitomi is thrilled, deciding that this means that Allen is free. To celebrate, she downs her third glass of wine in one chug (hiccup!). |
Time: 05:42 |
About a minute and a quarter of footage from a scene that happens around 8:54 in the episode is moved to here. This is where Allen and Van duel each other for practice. |
Time: 07:06 1 Second |
Dilandau smacks his messenger after he tells him not to get carried away. |
Time: 07:45 |
After the whole Folken/Dilandau scene, the episode ends. |
Time: 07:45 |
Since this is the new beginning of another episode, episode 7's recap was moved to here. And "augmented" as usual with clips from the previous episode. Interestingly enough, one of the clips is the scene of the guards capturing Escaflowne. They used that scene in the episode preview AND recap, but cut it out of the actual episode ^_^*. |
Time: 07:45 1 Minute, 9 Seconds |
This is the scene that was supposed to come right after they left off in the last episode. Instead, it was cut. In this scene, Allen puts Hitomi to bed, and Princess Eries comes in and tells him not to get involved with Millerna, since she doesn't want to see her heartbroken. Allen says that he'll never fall in love again. Seeing Hitomi in bed behind him, she calls him a liar and runs out (how can she walk, much less run, in that dress?). |
Time: 08:54 |
This is where Van and Allen originally duel. But this scene was moved to the previous episode. |
Time: 10:10 20 Seconds |
When Van and Allen finish, Millerna claps for them, since she'd been watching. Van, frustrated, picks up his sword and leaves. |
Time: 10:30 |
And after all that, HERE'S where the episode actually started! Well, sort of. A piece of a scene from 14:19 into the episode was used as the opening sequence, of Aston and Folken discussing how to find Escaflowne. It then moves to the scene of Millerna glomping Allen, which is what was really here to begin with. |
Time: 10:33 |
Actually, this is something that we SHOULD know, but we don't. Allen tells Millerna not to get involved with him, since she's already engaged. However, the conversation earlier in the episode that revealed that she was engaged was cut, so this line might have taken people by surprise. |
Time: 10:45 28 Seconds |
Millerna and Allen hug. Van goes down the stairs and runs into Hitomi. She asks him if he had too much to drink (at the dinner, which they cut earlier). Van warns Hitomi not to go up to the roof. Hitomi shrugs him off and says she just wants to cool off. |
Time: 12:03 20 Seconds |
After Hitomi sees Allen and Millerna kiss, she runs down the stairs and starts berating herself, thinking she was foolish to think Allen would like her having only met her a short time ago. |
Time: 12:51 8 Seconds |
Merle pokes at Hitomi and wonders if she's crying (aah! She just sounded soooo cute in the original!). |
Time: 14:02 |
Added commercial. This is right after Merle decides to go tell Van that Hitomi got kidnapped. |
Time: 14:02 |
After the commercial, a continuation of that Aston-and-Folken-talking scene from before is added again. |
Time: 14:11 7 Seconds |
Hitomi decides that Allen won't come and rescue her, since he likes Millerna, and would have no reason to. |
Time: 14:19 |
And here's where those clusters of conversations came from. Except they were all together originally. |
Time: 14:54 |
While Van is riding around in Escaflowne trying to find Hitomi, the BGM track "Chain" makes a reappearance. Originally, I think it was "Flying Dragon" that was playing here. |
Time: 17:54 |
When Dilandau comes flying down to beat up on Van, "Machine Soldier" was originally playing. But it's not now. |
Time: 20:08 |
When Van, Hitomi, and Merle all fly off, this was the original end of the episode. However, now it's only the second commercial break. The episode continues with episode 8... |
