Recap again. Lasts about one minute.

Time: 00:27
13 Seconds
Hitomi thinks that Allen is concerned about her visions and wonders if he hates her.

Time: 01:10
In case we weren't paying attention when they said where they were going, a large supertitle proclaiming "Palas, Capital of Asturia" is added to the scene when they arrive.

Time: 01:24
9 Seconds
Random panning over the city.

Time: 02:03
4 Seconds
Hitomi comments that the ocean smells the same on Gaea as it does on earth.

Time: 02:30
3 Seconds
Allen inquires about Millerna's attire, to which she replies that she can't ride a horse in a dress.

Time: 04:33
13 Seconds
Millerna makes some comments about Hitomi's clothes. Merle teases Hitomi, saying "Awfully rude to handmaidens, isn't she?"

Time: 05:03
Added commercial break. This is right after Hitomi almost accidentally reveals that she's from the Mystic Moon.

Time: 07:08

After Merle makes a comment about Hitomi's new clothes, Hitomi asks her if she's looking to pick a fight (Van: (gawk)).

Time: 07:37

Biiig cut. And honestly, I didn't notice this massive chunk of episode was even missing when I watched the first time through. ^_^* It starts with Van tossing Hitomi her bag before they go off to the bazaar, telling her to prepare for anything. Then it cuts to the crew of the Crusade hiding Escaflowne under a tarp (yeah, REAL inconspicuous, boys). Then, the oh-so-intimidating Guys With the Red-Feathered Hats come and unceremoniously unveil Escaflowne, saying that they have been ordered by the king to seize it. The real commercial break was originally in here, too.
But in another twist of weirdness, part of this scene was included in the episode preview at the end of episode 5. ^_^*

Time: 10:01
Er, now they're playing "Ask the Owl". This is while the girls plus Van are walking through the Bazaar.

Time: 10:56
19 Seconds
Well, this is both a cut and an important music change. When Hitomi listens to the CD, there actually was a song originally (granted, only about two lines of it before the Vision of Impending Doom(tm), but still...). During the song, Hitomi has a flashback to Yukari and Amano (whom, I've noticed, have become taboo in this series).

Clip of the cut song

Time: 11:26
12 Seconds
Hitomi runs off to find Van.

Time: 12:12
Another added commercial (since the scene where the real one should be was cut). This is added right after Van sees the floating fortress.

Time: 12:14
24 Seconds
Van runs up to Folken, and Folken asks Van to join him (this scene wasn't cut entirely, but was moved to a little later in the episode).

Time: 12:43
While Dilandau is messing with his scar, we see flashes of Van giving him that scar.

Time: 12:57
3 Seconds
When Gatty (the Dragonslayer there) tells Dilandau that he shouldn't mess with his scar, Dilandau punches him (ow...).

Time: 13:18
Remember that cut-and-moved scene? Well, here it is.

Time: 13:30
When Folken mentions the fact that he lost his arm, we're cut to those same Folken-fighting-the-dragon scenes from episode 22 as in the last episode, with the (very abridged) scene of Folken on the table seeing his new arm included this time, too.

Time: 14:48
When Folken goes off on his speech about how people kill things, a clip of Van fighting the dragon from episode 1, a clip of Balgus dying from episode 2, and a clip of the burning carnage from episode 2 are added.

Time: 15:33
7 Seconds
Hitomi running to find Van, saying she's got a bad feeling. She then looks down at her dress, noting that she can't run very well in it.

Time: 17:39
3 Seconds
After Hitomi saves Van, Merle shows up and says that Hitomi was saying scary things again (I just love the look on Hitomi's face when she says that).

Image of cut scene

Time: 19:10
10 Seconds
Meiden comments that it's great to actually see an Ispano guymelef. King Aston says that he shouldn't be satisfied with just seeing it.

Time: 19:29
10 Seconds
Meiden asks why they don't have Allen fight Van. Aston says that he'll save Allen for later.

Time: 20:08
When the camera pans out on the arena, this was the original end to the episode. However, in this case, it's just a commercial break. To be continued in episode 7...

Total amount of original footage lost: 3 minutes, 3 seconds.
