Hi,
I've recently traveled to Hawaii, the big Island, and stayed a week at Kalani Oceanside Resort. It was very relaxing with a healthy educational schedule of events. I was traveling with a Tai Chi /Yoga group from Washington State, and we kept a pretty busy time line, but all of this was
optional . I started each day at 6:00 with a brief intro to yoga with a new lesson every morning expanding on the previous day, then we did a series of Chinese exercizes called the 5- Tibitians, and to finish the morning wake up we did the Yang style short form Tai Chi. Then we would all meet at the cafeteria for a variety of vegetarian breakfast foods, fresh bananas, Mango's Papaya's,pineapples, raisins , and many varieties of grains, breads, and cereals.also non dairy drinks.
The resort had an olympic stye swimming pool with two hot tubs, and a dry sauna. They also had a staff of very good massage therapists, ranging from 35$ to 60$ depending on the type of therapy. We also had the opportunity to swim with dolphins, we were on the stormy side of the Island so it was pretty tough swimming but, the dolphins were there to watch as well. We were all blessed with the presence of our instructor who made this trip possible. He told stories and prompted many exilarating discusions. the resort has a staff of apx. 30 people from all areas of the world, living there for exchange of 30 hrs a week doing housekeeping, maintanance, or what ever was needed. This group is going to return next year at the same time of year for 8 days. I also had the opportunity to photograph some of
the trip if your interested, I'm more a photographer than a writer...I'm trying to build my web pg at:
