    CIBIMA
    Center for the Investigation of Marine Biology, Marine Mammal Research/Autonomous University of Santo Domingo ( UASD). dedicated to the study and preservation of all the marine resources of the Dominican Republic, with the humpback whales and Samana Bay as high priority. Its activities include research, education, and securing protective laws and regulations.
    DIRECCION GENERAL DE LA MIGRACION
    This is where everyone ends up who wants to apply for residence. The buliding is a huge and ugly concrete thing nicknamed "El Huacal", located in Santo Domingo on the "Avenida Francia".
    Ken de Pree:
    Reached the Dominican republic by sailboat in 1986 and has eversince been describing the activities of the imposing giant humpback whales of Samana Bay to the readers of local newspapers and his book "The Whales of Samana".
