Apart from teaching me to defend myself, the art/s have been instrumental in guiding me in the way of life I now choose to lead. Over the years I have been inspired by the teachings of Lao Tzu, the father of Taoism.
On this page you will find there are 3 inspirational quotes (some are Taoist, some are ones I've composed but mostly they are just ones I have just picked up along the way). You will notice that I do not credit the authors of the quotes. This is for three reasons. One is that there is often a lot of controversy over the original authors. Second is that I reckon it's better to contemplate the quote for what it means to you, rather than trying to imagine the context in which it was written.
