We were only ever a group of two climbing so there are very few shots of people actually climbing.  This is because the person who can photograph the climber is the belayer (the one down below feeding the rope).  He only ever has the wonderful perspective of the cliff and your butt.  So I am avoiding butt shots.  This pic I snapped from the top of a climb called THE GROOVE TUBE.  A fun climb with all sorts of stemming to be had.  Belayer Scott is waving back.  You see all the gear placed in the rock as my life support.

Just to the right of this climb is where Scott and I found a great haven from the very hot sun.  Unfortunately on our second day playing at this site I pulled a green pit viper from a small hole in the rock.  The snake fell 20 meters to the ground but did not die.  I was pretty scared but I was also still 20 m up the cliff.  That left Scott MUCH closer to the snake.  It actually writhed its way (painfully, I assume) into the greenery beside the path out of this spot.  We were both too afraid to follow that path for fear of meeting up with an injured viper so we found an alternate escape route.

Groovy, baby - YEAH!
