Lost In The PassageWays

Of Thought

Have you ever felt as if you were completely lost, although you know exactly where you are, and what you are doing? Have you ever sat down and suddenly become lost in thought?

It's like entering a semi-dark tunnel, with a pleasant decor, giving you a feeling to continue into the tunnel. Then all of a sudden you see a mist, and all that you can see is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Fear begins to well up inside you, and you turn around to go back out, except for one thing; there is no out.The entrance has become a dead end, and you begin to notice your heart beating; your fear has multiplied.

You begin to walk with hurried steps towards the light you saw, but with each step it seems to be getting further away. In desperation you begin to run slowly, hoping to reach the now fading light. But then...

You realized something has happened, and fear bites at your heart with a vegeance, and you are not only aware of the beating of your heart, but that you can actually feel it pounding through your whole body without touching it. There is a fork in the tunnel, and you don't know where to go...

"Go towards the light!", your subconcious screams, and you realize that the left is completely dark, while there is a fading speck of lightat the end of the right."Right!", you quickly decide, and run into the right tunnel, this time, actually running with all your might, because you feel lighter at heart."I'm gonna get out!", you say reassuringly, but then something else is happenning...

"I'm getting bigger... No! The tunnel! It's getting smaller! I want to get out!". You become panic-stricken, and begin running like a madman towards the light you see, bumping a knee, scraping your arm, and the sight of your own blood makes you run even faster. You get down on your knees and begin crawling into the ever-shrinking passage, until you get to the entrance...

In disbelief you stare at the entrance, with your mouth agape; the entrance in there, alright, but it's too small! you begint o squeeze through with all your might, not caring wether you die in the process, you just want to get out! And when you are almost through...

You You realize that you haven't moved from where you were. You felt as if you were in that tunnel for a day, but in reality you wewre only sitting quitely for 5 seconds...
