Hello, and welcome to my personal page! Full of more info than you'll probably ever want to know. For those of you who came for the pic...there it is. There is another link further down for more pics. For those who came to learn about me, please read on.
There he is, DRAUGO, in all his glorious teeth, slobber and fur. Did I not tell you he was the best looking around? Draugo was a German bred and imported shepard, who was converted to English commands. Even through all the years, he retained most of his German commands. He worked for our department for close to 7 years. During that time, he had two different handlers. He was an EXTREMELY talented tracker, and an adequate protection dog. His reputation preceeded him, with numerous criminals conceeding they stopped running because of him! Draugo was the most highly decorated K-9 the department had ever had, winning numerous civic awards. He and his previous partner were the #1 auto theft apprehension team for 3 years running. He was NOT a competition dog. You handlers know what I mean.
I'm still very active and interested in police K-9's. You may see me at any of the competition located on the West Coast. Bob Eden is considered an expert in the field and has written numerous textbooks. His Police Dog Homepage is the most visited on the web! Please take the time to stop by. It really is worth the visit!!
Wanna see how old you'd be if you were a dog?? *LOL*
My real name is Brett. I was born and raised, for the most part, in San Diego. (If you have never been to San Diego, click here to see what you're missing!) I am VERY single (that may or may not surprise you *L*), and the proud father of a little boy!! My parents still live in the area. I have one brother, Brian, who used to live in Arizona, has since moved to Northern California. I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration, with a minor in Sociology.
I work for a department in the suburbs of San Diego.
I've been there for 9 1/2 years now. (WOW! Time flies!!) I am currently assigned to the Patrol Division after my promotion. I am also a Field Training Officer, I worked in the Crimes of Violence Unit as part of the Gang Suppression Detail, and I am former member of our Regional Composite Platoon (Crowd Control/Riot Squad). My expertise is in auto theft and gangs.
***** Promotions Update *****
On November 5, 1999, I was officially promoted to the rank of Agent. Thanks for all of the support!
For those of you who always ask, YES I truly love my job.
I can't believe they pay me sometimes.
I love all sports! I play softball most of the year (we have such great weather). But If I could do one thing, everyday, it would
be.............FISHING!! Trout, bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill...it doesn't really matter! Lower Otay Lake, in Chula Vista, was one of the best "large" bass fisheries (over 9 lbs.) in California. They also grow monster blue catfish. A little old man recently caught one that was nearly 90lbs!!!!!
Living in San Diego for so long, I am a diehard Padres(Season ticket holder) and Chargers
fan!
Where do you want to go??
