     NBA JAM:TE, the multi-platform arcade smash hit, comes home to the Sony Playstation. Although the game concept itself is fairly old, the PSX version breathes new life into it by providing the right mix of graphics, sounds, and fun that topples the arcade version. Prepare for the best Jam you'll ever see!!
     The graphics on this disc are the best that this game gas ever seen. Facial details on the players are unbelievable, as are the monster jam and fire animations. The ball itself is well proportioned and animated, and a lively crowd spices up the action. However, the size of the heads (they are way out of proportion)may not appeal to some people.
     The sounds in Jam really rock!! Running commentary always accompanies the action, and the announcers' remarks just never seem to get old. The crowd cheers with incredible realism, adding further to the fun of this great game.
     The Playstation version of NBA Jam:Tournament Editition adds just enough to the old title to earn it high originality ratings. The FMV and added codes really rev up the action. The super dunks are awesome, and the fire animation is some of the best. However, the gameplay is the same, and so is the action. In terms of playing conditions, it's nothing new here.
     The controls in Jam are what to be expected, for the most part. However, unlike NBA Jam:TE for the SNES, the controls on this one are a little clunky, making it harder to goal tend, shove your opponent, and get rebounds. With a little practice, though, his should become second nature.
     Overall, NBA Jam:TE is a blast to play, especially with a friend. It is definitely recommended.
