Barret is the leader of the anti-Shinra Terrorist group known as the Avalanche. His wife had died in an accident years ago, and he currently lives with a girl named Marin.
Barret met Cloud at a bar and offered him the job of helping him destroy the reactor. This 35 year old brute's main spells are fire oriented.
