Civilization II Maps

Well, everyone knows what a map is, but you probably dont know what they are for in Civ2. In Civ2 you play on 2 types of maps: computer generated (made randomly by the computer), and maps made by you with the "Map Editor" program that comes with your Civ2. Here you can find many maps made for a Civ2 game. Some are maps of places on earth, and some are fictitious.

NON-FICTITIOUS MAPS

Name of Map	Size	Description
Antartic	3Kb	This is a medium sized map of the Antartic. It is a map in which it is very hard to find a suitable terrain to construct your cities, this way, making it hard to survive.
Balearen	1Kb	This is medium sized map of a set of Islands that lay to the East of Valencia in Spain. Spain is not included in this map. It son las islas que quedan al este de Valencia, al sureste de Barcelonavery similar to the "islands" map. It has a large continent in the middle and 2 small ones (one at each side).
Britain	3Kb	This map is a simple map of britain, that also shows the coast of Europe. The map is large and has good terrain.
Central America	4Kb	This map includes the northern part of South America, all of Central America, and the southern part of USA.
Caribe	3Kb	This map, as the name says, is a good map of the caribean islands.
East of USA	3Kb	This is a map of the Eastern half of USA, starting around Michigan State to the East. It has good terrain.
Europe	4Kb	This is a map of Europe, including the Middle East, and the northen part of Africa.
India	4Kb	This is a large map of India not including any other countries.
Mediterranean Ocean	3Kb	This is a map of all the countries on the coasts of the Mediterranean sea. It includes most of Europe, north of Africa and the Western section of the Middle East.
Mediterranean Ocean 2	4Kb	Same as above, but in an inclinated style.
Mediterranean Ocean 3	5Kb	A large map of Europe, but with the diference that it has many large rivers (strips of ocean) so boats can travel into the continents.
Middle East	3Kb	Medium sized map of the Middle East.
Pacific Ocean	3Kb	This is a map of eastern Asia and the Pacific Ocean, including australia, countries sorounding it, and the western part of the United States. It is a large map.
South America	2Kb	A good detailed and precise map of South America.
USA	6Kb	A map of all of the United States that includes a little of Southern part of Canada.

FICTITIUOS MAPS

Name of Map	Size	Description
A1	5Kb	A medium sized map with a mixture of large continents, small continents and islands.
Archi-circle	1Kb	This a archipielago (group of small islands) shaped like a deform circle. Each civ starts in a different point and has to advance around the circle taking posesion of it, until you unevitably find yourself with one of the other civs. There is very little land so it is important to conquer land as fast as you can.
Atolon	4Kb	This a medium sized map with a couple very large continents, but with an Ocean very saturated with small continents (large islands).
Cards	1Kb	This is a map with four large continents. Each one is shaped as a suit of playing cards. (diamond, heart, spade, and trebol).
Colonize	3Kb	This is a very good map with 2 continents. On the left side of the map is the first continent that goes from top to bottom. All civilizations start on it, but seperated enough to get a start without having to fight. On the other side (using up about 3/4 of the map) there is a huge continent full of large rivers and lakes. The object of the game is to conquer the huge continent as fast as you can so when it gets to the point where you have to fight you will have enough cities to support you.
Dune	1Kb	A medium sized map with almost no other terrain than deserts and with no ocean, lakes or rivers. It is based on "Dune", a book writen by Frank Herbert's.
Galaxy	1Kb	This is a large map with no continents, but full of islands. Its a map especially made for galactic modpacks in which each island is a planet, galaxy, etc.
Islands	2Kb	Map of a couple small continents that all have very bad terrain, making it a struggle to survive. The middle of every island is covered with hills and mountains, obligating you to make coastal cities, thus makin it easier for rival civs to attack you.
Landbelt	3Kb	Large map which has a large stretch of land from top to bottom in the middle of it (a landbelt), and a couple small islands on the sides.
Ringworld	5Kb	A very large map with very good terrain. Has many large continents, small ones, and islands. Some continents are spiral shaped, square, or other wierd shapes.
River	5Kb	Large Map with no ocean, just a very large river that goes through it kind of seperating it into 2 continents.
