Note how they go from small to big! Mwa ha!
A big gangster-type dude looks at you. He looks.. underage.. "Yo, 'sup? I'm glad ya came. Anything interest ya?" You stare at his merchandise. What's this? Bats, Frying Pans, Guns, Yo-Yo's, and the occasional slingshot? Even a sword? What kind of strange assortment of weapons is THIS? Then you remember-it's EarthBound. "Not look interestin'? Lemme show ya da ropes." He holds up a bat. "This is Ness' favorite weapon. He started out with the cracked bat, in his sister Tracy's room. The Tee Ball Bat was bought at the Drugstore at Onett for 48 dollars, but it was replaced a few days later when he came across the Sand Lot Bat. It costed 98 dollars, but served him well. The Minor League Bat was MUCH more powerful than the Sand Lot Bat-a big relief to Ness. That relief disapeared, however, when he saw the price-399 dollars!! Mr. Baseball Bat was a good friend, at 498 dollars, and the T-Rex Bat of Winters was a mere 698 dollars. The Big League Bat was a whopping 3080 dollars-you can get he got his money's worth out of that!! The Hall of Fame Bat was not bat, but rather found in Tenda Village. The Ultamite Bat of the Lost Underworld was 2298 dollars-less than the Big League Bat! The Magicant Bat of-duh-Magicant was a strong weapon, but the Legendary Bat of Giygas's time and place was the strongest. The Gutsy Bat was incredible-it increased the boy's Guts by 127! He got a Smaaaash hit almost every single time! The Casey Bat was the strongest of all weapons, and was found on Master Barf, but he missed 3 out of 4 times, making it a very angering weapon." He places down his sample bat, which you now know is the pricey Big League Bat, and picks up a Frying Pan. "This is the Fry Pan. Paula can equip this. It's found in Happy Happy Village for 56 dollars. The Thick Fry Pan was 198, but a lot stronger. The Deluxe Fry Pan, of Fourside, was powerful and only 598 dollars, but was replaced by the Chef's Fry Pan, in the same area, for 1198 dollars. The Non-Stick Fry Pan was in Winters. Jeff, when he saw it, could not afford it, but when Ness and his friends came back, they bought it for 1490 dollars. The French Fry Pan can cook food perfectly, but wasn't very powerful. It costed 1790. The Magic Fry Pan, found from the Chomposaur, was powerful, and greatly increased Paula's guts, but she missed a little more often too. Her last weapon, the Holy Fry Pan, costed 3490, but increased her guts by 10." After smacking a fly with the pan-yuck-he sets it down and pulls up a gun. You stare at it with big eyes. "Don't wanna get shot by this, eh? This is Jeff's amazing Moon Beam Gun, but I'll get to that. He started out with a Pop Gun, which is found in a locker room. The Stun Gun was found later, in a cave, Brickroad's Dungeon, but his first good weapon was the Toy Air Gun, for 215 dollars, in Threed. Jeff repaired the Broken Toy Air Gun, and added some extra things to make it the Magnum Air Gun. The Zip Gun was later in the game, for 425 dollars. He repaired the Broken Laser to get the Laser Gun. The Hyper Beam looked cool, and was bought for 850 dollars at Fourside. Jeff repaired the Broken Gadget to get the Double Beam. The Crusher Beam smashed enemies to pieces, and was bought for 1150 dollars. Jeff repaired the Broken Cannon for the Spectrum Beam. The Death Ray, in Tenda Village, was awesomely powerful. The Baddest Beam was found by repairing the Broken Harmonica in Stonehedge. The Moon Beam Gun was in the final shining spot, and the Gaia Beam was found after killing enough of those exploding ball guys and receiving the Broken Antenna." He drops the gun, relieving you, and picks up a sword. "This thing is awesome," He says, "And is Poo's only weapon. It is found by defeating enough Starman Supers. Interesting?" It is sharp, and beautifully decorated. He then drops the weapon, and grabs.. a Yo-yo? "This Yo-Yo was in Onett, but wasn't as powerful as the Tee Ball Bat. It was a cheap 29 dollars, though. The Trick Yo-yo, in Fourside, was powerful, and only costed 998 dollars. And the Combat Yo-yo, the most powerful Yo-yo of all, was a mere 1148 dollars." He picked up a slingshot. "This is the Slingshot, of Twoson. It costed 89 dollars. The Bionic Slingshot, of Saturn Valley, was only 449 dollars and was a powerful weapon." He clears his throat. "Your accuracy slightly decreases with a Slingshot or Yo-yo of any kind. Oh, yeah, and if Poo equips a Yo-yo or Slingshot, his offense goes DOWN, so try not to, okay?" These weapons just aren't what you're looking for. Those guns are cool, but...maybe.. "Ya want armor? I got armor. Lemme show ya some.." "I'll start out with ribbons." You girls out there might enjoy one, but you boys, wouldn't your girlfriends like one? You tell him to do so. "Only girls like Paula can use Ribbons. The Defense Ribbon is only 389 dollars, and increases her Luck by 15. The Goddess Ribbon was found wrapped up in a box, and offered incredible defense. The Red Ribbon, bought at Saturn Valley for 179 bucks, and the Ribbon, bought at Happy Happy Village for 89 dollars, were cheap and offered nice protection. Bet ya didn't know a bow could do that, eh? Anyway, the Saturn Ribbon increased her Luck by 40. The Talisman Ribbon increased her luck by 25, but she gained a lot of defense from it." He continues, grabbing a cap. "This is a Baseball Cap. It was only 19 bucks at Onett, a real steal. However, the mighty Mr. Baseball Cap was at the Onett clubhouse, and was better-and for free." He sets the cap down, and picks up a coin. Oo, moolah! "This is a coin." No duh. "This particular one is the Charm Coin, which adds magnifique defense and adds 20 luck, too. It's 6,000 dollars in the Deep Darkness. The Lucky Coin of Summers adds 30 luck for 6,000, though it's defense power is not as high. The Mr. Saturn Coin provides protection from Flash, and is found in the Milky Well. The Shiny Coin-oo!!! It's shiny!!-is 4000 dollars, but increases Luck by 30 and has higher defense than the Lucky Coin. The Souvenir Coin in Deep Darkness will help you to remember the wonderous (?) times in the swamp, and increases luck by 35, at that! The Talisman Coin is 3,500 dollars, and increases Luck (pattern?) by 25. The Coin of Defense increases luck by 13 for 2,000, the Coin of Silence for 2,500 increases Luck by 16, and the Coin of Slumber increases luck by 10 for 1,500 dollars. If you go to the casino, equip a coin!!" Instead of getting out another piece of armor, Frank picks up a picture of a beautiful town. "This is Dalaam, where Poo lives. You've seen the Sword of Kings, correct? That is Poo's only weapon. There are only three other pieces of Armor that Poo-and only Poo-can equip. The Bracer of Kings, in the Pink Cloud area of Dalaam, allows him to be protected from Sleep and increases his luck by 35. The Cloak of Kings, in the Lost Underworld, increases Poo's Speed by 40. Finally, the Diadem (whatever a Diadem is) of Kings makes PSI attacks hit less, and increases his Luck by 30. It's found in Lumine Hall." Setting down the picture, Frank grabs a Bracelt. "This Cheap Bracelet isn't cheap at all-98 bucks. It's still good Defense that helps in Giant's Step, though. The rare Pixie Bracelet in Stonehedge makes sleep attacks unaffective, and increases luck by 10. The Copper Bracelet was in Everdred Park for 349 dollars." Frank picks up a brownish pendant. "This is the Earth Pendant, one of the best. For 4,000 dollars, ity provides protection from Fire, Freeze, and Flash attacks. If you're low on the money, the Flame, Rain, and Night pendants protect from fire, freeze, and flash, in that order. The Sea Pendant, in Lost Underworld, protects from Fire, Freee, and Flash, but offers more protection than the Earth pendant. Finally, the best pendant, the Star Pendant, offers the best protection, and provides protection from Fire, Freeze, Flash, AND Paralysis. It's found on the Major Psychic Psycho." He drops it, and picks up a wristband. "I didn't include these with the bracelets, though I should have. This is the Cherub's Band. It provides protection from sleep and an increase of 20 for Luck. It also has some niiice defensive power. The expensive Diamond band, in Summers, is 9998 dollars! Geez-oh-pete!! Try to avoid getting this unless you need defense. The Goddess Band makes you strong against Sleep and increases Luck by 30, with awesome defense. The Platinum Band, also in Summers, is a little cheaper, only 6,899 dollars. The Silver Bracelet was 599 dollars in Saturn Valley. I know this should go under bracelets, but I forgot it and I'm too lazy to scroll up and add it." He grabs a little necklace. "This is a Charm. This particular one is a Crystal Charm. It only increases your defense by 2, but your speed is up by 15, and you can't be Paralyzed. It's 600 dollars in Scaraba. The Great Charm only offered 1 point of Defense, but Speed was increased, and you can't get Paralyzed. The Travel Charm offered NO defense, but you couldn't get Paralyzed." He drops it, and picks up... nothing. "There are miscellaneous items, like the Hard Hat in Peaceful Rest Valley or the Holmes Hat in the locker room of Winters. The Rabbit's Foot, in Lumine Hall, offers only 3 Defense, but increases Speed by 40 and protection from Paralysis." "Finally! I'm finished!!" he says, and smiles. "So, what would you like to buy?" You tell him that you don't want anything. "WHAT? You mean I went through all that for NOTHING? You..." Many curses insue. You slip away qu...i..et...l..y.. Back to the Rainy Circle, EarthBound!
