You stroll towards the pretty girl in a pink dress. As she looks at you, you blink. She is actually middle-aged, though she looks quite young for her age. "Hello." she says. "I come from a place a few hundred watery miles from here.. yet still, it is Winters's sister city. Have you heard of Summers? No? Well, that's still fine. My husband works in Toto, the port town to the east, but he's always home on time. Maybe it's just because of the delicious magic cakes and tarts I create.. would you like one?" Before you can say yes, she says, "Only 400 dollars a piece!" *gloom* 400 bucks? "Yes... 'tis important that you save up. Though I'm sure that once you try them, you'll never want anything else." You didn't come here for Magic Tarts. "Hints?" She says, and scratches her chin. "Well, there's a lot of gossip at the Stoic club..would you like to hear it?" You nod. "Good." "Right below Tenda Village, at the Shining Spot before the Lost Underworld, you may find the circled Uncontrollable Spheres. As obnoxious as they may be, they give you a Broken Harmonica-if you fight enough. They'll give you one on a 1 out of 128 basis. Repair the Broken Harmonica for the Baddest Beam, the ultimate weapon of pain." "Under Stonehedge, you may find Starman Supers in one of the last rooms. They, like the Uncontrollable Spheres, give you an item on a 1 out of 128 chance, but this item, if you do not know from Frank already, is the Sword of Kings, Poo's only weapon." "The multi-bottle rocket," she says, "is a very powerful weapon. If you buy one at Deep Darkness, try using it on Master Barf-he'll die in one hit." "Do the Ghost of Starmans get you down? Try using Paula's Psychic Shield, the one that reflects, on all in your party. 42 PP may seem like a lot, but you shouldn't encounter too many, and this will prevent you from getting blasted by the Starstorm the Ghost of Starman uses." "The Gutsy Bat can be found, 1 out of 128 chance, on Bionic Krakens. It's an AMAZING weapon-almost every single hit is a SMAAAAAAASH attack, and Ness can almost NOT die, because his life is always on 1. You do about 800 damage on a high level with this weapon." "In the second shining spot, the Mondo Mole could prove a real disaster for your still low-level Paula. Solution? Ness's Paralysis PSI should prove very affective." "The Brain Food Lunch recovers 300 HP and 50 PP to Ness, Paula, and Jeff. Remember, however, that it recovers all HP and PP for Poo." "Try not to overuse Paula's Pray command, because usually only bad comes from it. A little bit of life is recovered, a little bit more life is recovered, ALL people-enemies or allies-are brought back to life, defense is decreased for all, everyone is crying, everyone is confused, a ray of light greatly recovers one ally's HP, and a beam of light hits an enemy for a moderate amount of damage. Use it only if you're feelin' lucky, punk." "Sometimes, if you look around long enough in Scaraba or the Dusty Dunes Desert, you see a little worm monster run from you. No, the heat isn't making you hallucinate-run after it and attack it from behind. You will get a LOT of experience-usually enough to level you up 2 or 3 times." "Don't give any money to Orange Kid in Twoson-he'll just give you a music player that breaks. Do, however, give 200 bucks to Apple Kid-you'll see why later in the game." "When you enter Twoson's Hotel, you'll see a guy in the lobby. Keep talking to him, and after a while, he'll give you 50 bucks. Yay!" "Never keep too much money on hand, only when you're going to buy something. Usually, dying isn't all that bad-you keep the experience that you earned before you died, and instead of going to the hotel and hospital, you can teleport to Saturn Valley for a free check-up. However, you lose half your money on hand-but none of the money in the ATM. Remember that." "The best experience and money in the game are often inside Shining Spot places, but sometimes the enemies can be difficult. How do you solve that? Simple. After beating the boss, you'll have an easier time defeating enemies as they run away from you-you'll often win the battle without even entering." "Well," she says, "That's enough for now, don't you think?" She sits back down. You thank her, and spin around, heading back to where you came from.
