What? You don't like Squaresoft, the games are too hard? And EarthBound was too weird? Never fear! This is an RPG site. Here are a few hints to get you rolling. You can send any hints here, and get yer name printed! I assume you don't want your e-mail or site printed, but if you have one, tell me in the e-mail with the hints. Quest 64 You can increase your agility without having to go into battle once! Look at your experience screen, and check out the percent of the agility meter. Then go into town, and run around. Yes, just run around, for about 30 seconds. Look at the experience screen again. The experience needed should have increased by at least 3! Hot Steam, Wind Bomb, and Ice Wall all do the same effects: Hit enemies near you, like Robo from Chrono Trigger's Area Bomb. But they all have different effects. Wind Bomb may bring down a monster's agility, Ice Wall may freeze an enemy, and Hot Steam just plain kicks butt. Wind Cutter level 2 and level 3 both take up different MP, Wind Cutter level 2 takes up 2 MP, Level 3, 3 MP. But actually, they hit about the same amount of hit points. Level 3 hits about 6 beams of Wind at an enemy for about 6 or 7 HP each. But Wind Cutter level 2 shoots three beams of wind hitting about 11 or 12 HP each. Do the math! To get the real fill of the game, you should level up all magics equally. But to really rule the Mammon is to level up one magic (I say Water or Wind) to full extent. Can you imagine Ice Knife by the time you fight Solvering? Always talk to all the townspeople before you open chests. Here is why: If you open a chest, and find a fresh bread, and then go to a tavern where someone will always give you fresh bread if you run out, then you have one. However, if you go to the tavern first, you get fresh bread, and then you open up the chest, you have 2 fresh breads instead of one. Avelanche works differently in open spaces of battle than closed spaces, so watch out. To find the magical hidden castle of Shamwood, enter the desert and search near the middle for a floating gem. This is easiest if you go by day, as it is near impossible to see in the night. Walk towards it, and step on the mound you see. You will teleport to Shamwood Castle, where there is a man inside and many, many treasures and spirits. Against Mammon, your level of magic should be around 30 or 32 for each, or at least have the spells Healing Lv. 2, under Water, Magic Barrier, a rock magic, and Power Staff lv. 2, under Fire. Dragon Warrior 1 In Hauksness (that's the town where there aren't any people but lots of monsters), if you go to the eastern edge of the town, you'll find the ruins of a shop. When you go in there you'll fight an Axe Knight. Be sure to use Stopspell as soon as the fight begins, because he'll try to put you to sleep! After you beat him, search the ground either where the Axe Knight was or the space right behind him, I don't remember exactly. You'll find Erdrick's Armor, the best armor in the game! It restores a HP for every step you take, and it's got awesome defensive power! Mystical Ninja 64: Starring Goemon After you reach festival village, go and talk to every single person in the entire town. After you have done that, go back and meet your old friend on Mt. Fuji. He will upgrade your weapons! If you get all cat statues and beat the game, you will get a mode that allows you to fight all of the bosses in the Goemon Impact. Remember that the Sudden Impact that Goemon uses doubles your offense but halves your defense. If you are being shot (not attacked) by an enemy, right before the shot hits, quickly press C down. If you time it just right, no damage will be dealt. To get Sasuke, first you must: Navigate the desert and locate the battery in the Oasis. Second, go to the area with water and a huge tree in the center of the area. Use Embisaru's camera to find the hidden battery, and bring Sasuke to life! I decided to make a character profiles on this page because no one would go to it if I made a link! ^_^_^ Aren't I funny? Ha ha.... Goemon: The leader of the group with some really cool blue hair. He uses a really big pipe. He's the leader of the gang, but Dancin' keeps calling him Fernandez. How demeaning. After climbing Mt. Fuji, he gets a long pipe that works as a long range distance weapon AND a grappling hook to hook onto star boxes! ^_^ But it's sort of slow. His other weapon is a coin. Yes, he hurls his money at people. Wow. Later on, after the God of Money grants you the Fire Medal, hold down B with the coin selected to use FiRe PoWeR!! Yay!! Also, when you learn his ability in Oedo Town (later in the game, don't worry if you don't have it yet), his hair turns yellow! YaY! It allows him to move big metal boxes, and also doubles his offense. Of course, it halves his offense, too, so be careful. It also costs 10 Ryo to use. If you drop the controller and wait, he taps his foot on the ground and twirls his pipe. I like Goemon. Embisumaru: Chances are ten to one I just mispelled his name. Oh well. You know who I mean... that fat guy with the ^_^ face and rosy cheeks and the blue suit? People often wonder why he's fat. Well, if you had a Meatsaw hammer that allows you to get dumplings from enemies half the time, and none of your special items used any money, you'd be pretty fat too, no? Ha ha. Along with the Meatsaw Hammer, which turns Ryo received from enemies into Dumplings, he has a big ol' mallet, too. And a groovy wind-up camera!! It allows you to get hidden items and see hidden paths. Also, when fighting that big robot what's-his- name in the Ghost Toys Castle, you can see his HeArT. Also, after getting Sasuke's first battery in the desert, climb up the Izumo hill and enter the Lake With a Large Tree, climb to the top of tree, use the camera, and voila! Sasuke! Thanks a lot, Plasma dude! Also, Embisumaru (Spelling??) can shrink. It's the first special ability in the game, learned after you catch 16 fish for that small bachelor guy (I'm not a very good name rememberer ...was his name Kashiwaga? No, wait, that was that big robot..) and enter the church to steal food. HOW EVIL!! Anyway, it allows him to become small and enter areas previously unaccessable. And it doesn't cost money! *glares at Goemon* Anyway, if you drop the controller and wait, Embisumaru will yawn and fall asleep. He snores a lot. I like Embisumaru. Yae: She's so cute!! Celes' rival is a secret agent found in Zazen town. She has long, beautiful green (Terra, anyone?) hair and a cute voice. She's loveable. It's a real shame that she sucks. She's the worst character, though my favorite. Her weapons just aren't that good :\ Anyway, her crawl seems to be a TINY bit faster than everyone elses, and her slice is quicker (though limited range). Sasuke's crawl LOOKS faster, but that's because he's small. Anywhoo, she starts out with a SWORD! Now, instead of hitting the enemy, and seeing them explode, you slice them in half and watch both parts explode!! YAY!!!! After you level the weapons up to level 2, hold down B to use Yae's Sword Shield, which protects her from Shot attacks. Anyway, after being shocked by the fact that Old Man's House has blown up and fighting a big robot, enter Zazen town to find this free spirited lass. She gets a flute which can call the dragon what's-his-name to come and bring you somewhere you've already been, like when a Pokémon uses FLY. It's so pretty! In the Gourmet Sub, you'll get her ultra junky bazooka. I guess it's okay, but if you hold it down, it NEVER locks on!!!! Well, it locks on, but never hits. Sigh......but that's okay, because she's so cute you forgive her! Unless, maybe, you're a girl who thinks Embisumaru is sexy, or whatever. Later on, outside of Festival Village, you earn her Mermaid powers! It's POSSIBLE for Yae to become cuter? Indeed, yes!! If you drop the controller and wait, she'll start brushing back her hair and applying make-up. Yay!! I like Yae. Sasuke: Mighty ninja robot with a strong past. He is fearless, strong, dexterious, and never takes no for an answer. His respect for the old man is great, and will fight unwaning for whatever is right. He is bold, and serious. He likes drinking green tea and watching TV, too! ^_^ He's quite serious for the little cute guy he is. I suppose I really should call Sasuke "it", but he seems to sort of be a masculine robot. *blink* Sort of like how Jynx is a feminine "it", get it? Anyway, he uses a bunch of weapons. His Katanas allow him to slice and dice enemies up into little pieces. His Bombs, at the cost of 1 Ryo each, blow up on contact and blow up cracked walls. His Kunai of Severe Cold puts the enemy in an ice cube AND freezes hot platforms. If you hold it down, you use the Kunai Ice Beam which shoots out three at once! Quite cool, but it costs 3 Ryo. 1 Ryo for the one shot. If you hold B and press Z, his hair pops off his head and hits anything above him! Way cool. If you hold Z (crawl) and press B, he uses a long-range weapon-his hair! Boy, and you thought his small size wouldn't help. Anyway, his special ability is a Super Jump! The training's cheesy. You do all this hard, ardeous work, jump up a 75 story high killer obsticale course, and after many minutes of hard, sweaty work.. you get a jetpack!! Huh.. oh well. Sasuke flies with this jetpack.. well, more like hovers. It's like a mega jump, and is super cool! If you drop the controller and wait, Sasuke will sip his favorite-green tea (I love green tea!) and then meditate. It's pretty cool. I like Sasuke. Goemon Impact: This movie star is straight off of a cheesy Japaneese movie. Oh no, it is Godzilla. We must flee the city. And such. He's a Power Ranger wanna-be! But he's got an awesome theme song, and he doesn't suck!! Press R to use the grappling hook and press B quickly to reel him in. Press C Up, C down, C up, and A to use the SUPER PUNCH which really rules. If you press A after the super punch is completed, you'll add a kick in there too. By press C down, C down, A, you do a boring kick. By pressing Z, you shoot Ryo. And, here's the best of all-by pressing C up, C left, C down, C right, and Z, you'll shoot this MEGA lazer. It hits about 1,000 HP against the enemy! Your meter has to be full, and the more you hit the enemy, the higher the meter gets. It's slow, but PoWeRfUl. I like Impact. Witch: She's so mean!! She charges you 300 Ryo to see the spirit of the old man. Evil witch..she's up on Mt. Fear, so get yer climbin' skills ready! I don't like Witch. Wise Ol' Man: EVIL!!!! EVIL!!!!!!!! He made the Instant Stage Beam that's terrorizing Japan for a couple car magazines. He deserves to have his house blown up. Oh well. He advances your weapons to level 3! I like Wise Ol' Man. End! Sent in by William - to beat Congo, get close up to his chin and hit him with any weapon. You’ll be safe from his flame-breathing. After three rock showers, he’ll roar, and the screen will shake. MOVE! He’ll let go with a rotating laser attack. Jump over the beams until he stops, then get him some more. Keep repeating this until he blows up. - Before you get to fight Kashiwaga, you’ll go through an action scene. Destroying towns, castles, and trees increases your oil (HP) and killing enemies raises your Ryo. (ammo) Jump over pits and fenses, or shoot down the fences (Z). There’s an action stage like this before every Impact boss, but they take different forms. To beat Kashiwaga, grab him with the pipe and pull him in. (R, then tap A or B until the purple meter at front charges to full) then give him the Super Punch (up C, down C, up C, A) This will take away 200 HP, at least. If you have a full laser meter, give him the Mouth laser the instant he starts falling. He’ll get up into it! To stop his Palm Brand attack, punch him before he reaches you. The mouth laser takes away about 400 HP. Nasal bullet down the missles, punch his UFO thingys he drops when he flys. If you want to, grab him with the pipe (which reduces his HP by 20) as he deploys his wings to stop the attack. Once his HP gets down to 1000, he’ll be able to clone himself. keep the clone in your sights and punch him when he lets down the shields. 3-4 hits should take him out. Just keep reeling in and Super Punching Kashiwaga and you’ll beat him. - To beat the Dhyarmo, use Ebisumaru’s Wind-Up camera to make him show his heart after each time he attacks. (first time I’ve seen a robot with an exploitable heart!) Then use Goemon’s Chain Pipe to attack from a distance. To avoid his bombs, run to the RIGHT. this will keep you from getting hit by the explosions. If you run to the left, you get hit. I’ve only gotton hit by his claw slice attack once, so there’s really no excuse for getting hit by it. Just use your chain pipe to stay away from him. - To beat the ghost maid, avoid the first three pairs of blue plates she throws. She’ll then throw two red ones at you. Hit them (I like to use Ebisumaru’s hammer because the upper attack hits them even if they are above you. Yae and Sasuke have lower attacks that only hit things on the same level as you, so you have to jump to hit them.) The red plates will fly and hit her in the face! do this 3-4 more times and she’ll get angry. Run in circles around her to avoid the greens she throws at you, rapid-fire. At the end she’ll throw two more reds. whack them to hit her. 3-4 more times, she gets angry again. She’ll start throwing yellow plates everywhere! Stand your ground and hit any that come to you. You’ll notice that these ones explode if they hit the ground. If you hit them, they’ll blow up like normal enemies. Finally, she’ll throw two more reds. Hit her with them. 2-3 more times and she’ll blow up. - Another Impact boss! To beat the mermaid, use the same techniques as you did against Kashiwaga. Reel her in, Super Punch, then Mouth Laser if possible. She has a few charging attacks, just punch her before she reaches you. After she gets down to 1000 HP, she’ll drag you underwater and hit you. This is normal. Just keep using the same techniques underwater as you did above water. - The final boss! To beat Ballberra, use your nasal bullets (it helps to have gotton a lot of Ryo in the action stage) to blow up the main guns, front red ball, leaves, and lower area. after everything is gone (takes a lot of Ryo!) The smaller ships will attack. Nasal them down and the ship will open and launch more. Give the core the Mouth Laser. Be careful, as the ship drifts to the side and the laser takes a few seconds to charge up. Repeat this until the ship blows up. If you don’t have full laser power when the ship opens up, punch until you do then wait for it to open up the next time to Mouth Laser it. Blow it up and you’ve won the game! ....uh-oh.....Dancin’ is laughing at you.....not good....Be ready for the real final boss. If he starts launching balls at you, shoot them down. wait until he stops. If he coils up and spins, he’ll leave the screen. PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE HE LEFT! He’ll spin back and try to hit you. Punch him before he gets to you. Then reel him in with you pipe and give him this combo: B,B,B,A. He’ll repeat his attacks. when his HP gets to about 1200, he’ll spin around and let loose with a lot of balls. Just shoot them down, they’re great for pumping up you Super Meter. By the way, you can’t Super Punch him when you reel him in with your pipe, he recovers too fast. When his HP gets as low as 1000, he can summon a meteor shower. Give him a Mouth Laser. Just keep repeating thses patterns and you’ll be fine. However, if you don’t have full laser power when he summons the meteors, you’ll have to punch them down. Nasal bullets don’t work too well. Beat his guy and you beat the game. If you have all the fortune dolls when you beat the game, you get a secret option to fight all the Impact bosses in order. Sorry that last hint was orderless, cut and paste ain't flawless :) Little Ninja Brothers I don't know if anyone's even PLAYED this NES game, but it's high quality fun! Punch the rocks for Kick icons, full lives, Magic cards, and Ninja darts! Zelda 64 By playing the Song of Storms near the dried oasis near the Spirit Temple, you can make a WHOLE lotta fairies appear! This can be useful if you need a quick place to fill your bottles for the fight against Gannon. Just play the Requirum of Spirit. Get the Biggoron sword, it's really cool! Okay, first, go to Kakariko when you're adult link. Get the Pocket Cucco, and wake up Talon. Go back to the girl and get Cojiro. Go to the Lost Woods, and hang a quick left as soon as you enter from Kokiro Forest. Use Cojiro, and get a Mushroom! Watch out, and go at day. You have a time limit to rush to Kakariko (No Ocarina playing allowed!), enter the Potion Shop, and go around to another shop, behind it, to trade it to an ugly hag for an Odd Potion. Rush back to the Lost Woods (playing the Ocarina is okay now, since you have no time limit), and in the place of the Cojiro-dude, you'll see a cute girl. She's trade you that potion..for a saw! GOOD TRADE! Go to Gerudo Valley. The carpenter leader will trade you the Saw for the Broken Knife. NOT a good trade. Oh well. Climb Death Mountain, and talk to the big ol' Goron for the prescription. Go to Zora's Domain, and if you haven't already, defrost the King Zora with the Blue Fire. Use the prescription to get an Eyeball Frog. Hurry to Lake Hylia (Tired yet?) within the time limit. The ugly dude will give you the World's Finest Eyedrops. Hop on Epona, and RACE to Death Mountain in 4 minutes to give them to the Biggoron. You can use the Longshot to climb up the mountain right before him quicker. Good luck! You'll get the claimer's check. Play the Sun's Song six times (3 days), and trade the claimer's check. Duh duh duh duh! You got the Biggoron Sword! And, as a bonus, you get the claimer's check! ...heh.. REALLY COOL!!! Turn your card into a bottle. Here's what ya do. Okay, get the Biggoron sword. Go to a fairy fountain, and use a bottle. As you swoop down, quickly press start and switch to your Claimer's Check. If you time it right, you will hold up..a bottle? Yes, it's true! You've found the 5th bottle!! When you're little kid Link, you can throw Bomb Flowers into the swirling base and get lots of cool stuff! Boss tips! Queen Ghoma: Launch a Deku Seed at her and slice away! When she climbs to the ceiling, blow her down with your slingshot! You will LOVE Z-targeting against her. King Dodango: Worship the Hylian Shield. Equip it before you enter, and get yer bombs ready. When Dodango begins to breath fire, chuck a bomb into his mouth! Yeah, you heard me right. When he begins to roll, quickly hold up your Hylian Shield! Believe it or not, you won't get hurt! If he breaths fire, trust me: RUN!!!! Barnacle: He's quite easy if you know the secret. ONLY let go of Z to re-target the enemy. You'll love this guy: Flip, dodge, roll, flip, dodge, roll. Jump around all over the place to avoid him, and hurl the boomerang to get him down. Speed is the strength you need for this guy. Phantom Ganon: He'll begin by entering portraits. Shoot him as he leaves the portrait with the Fairy's Bow. Later, he'll try to trick you by making himself in two different portraits. Be careful! After that, he'll get mad and laugh big ol' things at you. Reflect 'em back, and dive into the fray, slicing him as he is weakened. He'll be roasted like Thanksgiving turkey. I know, I know, cheesy joke.. Volvagia: What a BIG dragon! What an easy foe! Okay, get yer Megaton Hammer out. Got it? Good. Get yer Longshot out, keeping your Hammer out. Got it? Good. Volvagia will emerge from the ground. Z-target, and WHAM him on the head! When he flies into the air, shoot him down with the hookshot! It won't hurt him, but his chasing or rock knocking will end. Don't be afraid of the fire he shoots when he first emerges, it won't hurt ya. Keep yer Fire Tunic on. Morpha: Make sure ya have the Biggoron Sword. RUN around the room until the tentacle attacks and misses. Z-target onto the nucleas and pull it over. SLICE! SLICE! SLICE! Uhh, RUN! Do it again and again! Be careful not to enter the water-that's just where Morpha wants you. Bongo Bongo: Bum..bum..bum..the rhythm will be stuck in your head, but the battle will go too quickly. Keep your Lens of Truth (you use them too MUCH!!) out, and your bow, too. Shoot both of the hands (the hookshot it too slow), and use the Lens of Truth to see Bongo Bongo's red face. Shoot it with an arrow, pull out your Biggoron sword, and prepare to play taps on your ocarina for it. After about TWO times of this, it'll perish. Twinrova: She's not too hard, but she SURE IS ANNOYING! First, she'll be Koume and Kotake. Hold out yer Mirror Shield, and deflect the Ice back at the Fire witch, and the Fire back at the Ice witch. Simple. Not yet. Soon, she'll morph into one. Prepare to..yawn. Use Z and R, and absorb three of the same elemental. Watch out! Sometimes she'll use Ice, you'll absorb it, Ice again, you absorb it, then FIRE! DON'T absorb it, dodge instead. After you get three of the same elemental in order, you'll automatically launch it back. Put out yer Biggoron sword and "Finish the job, Link!!". Do this over and over and see a really funny death scene! Gannondorf: He's pretty tough, but not TOO bad. When we hurls towards the ground, trust me-Jump off the platform! If you're unlucky, you may get hurt. Climb up (or use the Longshot to get there easier). He'll launch a bolt at you, you should reflect it with your Master or Biggoron Sword. It's a little more tricky, but when he's stunned, blast him with a Light Arrow. Then hit him into the ground with attacks. Continue doing this. Ganon: The boss of the game. What a WUSS! Use a Light Arrow or shoot the Longshot and paralyze him. Move around him and hit his tail with the Megaton Hammer or Biggoron Sword. Gosh, how hard. The final blow is COOL! There! That should be all, if you have any tips for one of these games, or a different not mentioned game, tell me and it shall be done. ;) Back to my main RPG page! © 1997 starpeppy@hotmail.com This page hosted by Get your own Free Home Page

End!

- to beat Congo, get close up to his chin and hit him with any weapon.
Sorry that last hint was orderless, cut and paste ain't flawless :)
I don't know if anyone's even PLAYED this NES game, but it's high quality fun!
Punch the rocks for Kick icons, full lives, Magic cards, and Ninja darts!
By playing the Song of Storms near the dried oasis near the Spirit Temple, you can make a WHOLE lotta fairies appear!
There! That should be all, if you have any tips for one of these games, or a different not mentioned game, tell me and it shall be done. ;)
