The Beginning of the Apocolypse 3

Back at the newly conquered territory of Magus, the Kingdom of Guardia is completely baffled as to how he came back to exact his revenge, 400 years after his initial attack.

He stands in Leene Square, the bell that rang for luck and prosperity for over 20 score lay destroyed and scattered among the corpses of once-happy millennia fair-goers. With a gentle wind brushing his cape as if to tug him forward, he keeps his arms crossed in a proud stance, making sure to keep his time travel a secret.

The de-throned King of Guardia, along with the Chancellor and army general, are knelt before him. "This is done to spare the lives of the citizens from Magus's destruction.". Yet the general remains in contempt. His teeth grind like metal and eyes pointed toward Magus.

"Please, your majesty. Let me take him." spoken in a humble yet angered voice "Just one shot is all I need." As he begs he begins to unsheathe his sword with his right hand.

"No. No more bloodshed in my kingdom."

"But, your majesty", still preparing to attack no matter the answer.

"No. I mean it.", trying to keep his voice low enough so as not to distract their victor's mood.

"Damn you, majesty! You are not the ruler I thought you were.", extracting his sword and halfway standing, "FOR CYRUS AND GUARDIAAAAAAAAA."

Slash!

The general's head decapitates. The body drops before fully standing while the head hits the floor and rolls a few feet. The golden armor is now stained with red pain. Magus's scythe now returns to its resting place. Its speed was so fast that the head seemed to become dislodged all by itself.

The King and Chancellor look at their fallen knight leader in both pity and contempt.

"Fool. I warned him. Now, because of his stupidity, we could suffer even more."

"Oh, how so very right you are, king." Magus speaks with disgust, then turns his body toward the castle. He extends both his arms, visually placing the castle between his fingers as if to pick it up. He mumbles a few words to himself with his eyes closed, and as that happens, a blue light begins to shine from his palms. Seconds later the wind picks up. His hair violently fluctuates back and forth on his face, failing to distract him. The cape remains horizontal from the now violent gusts. His eyes open...

"LUMINAIRE OF DARKNESS!!"

The castles becomes engulfed in a blue light that increases in size every moment. A loud ear piercing scream is heard. The castle is now totally encased in the blue haze. Then the light changes to white and the entire castle explodes, throwing dirt, stone and smoke everywhere. The shockwave resonates through the ground, making some watchers lose their balance.

The blazing light passes. The noise reduces. As people focus on what used to be their castle, all they see is a black circle, charred ground and smoking brick. Even the surrounding area of the castle was on fire. Magus yet stands tall as he now lowers his hands and turns around to the people.

"Some millennial fair. Ha. This is a pathetic tribute to your victory 400 years ago." He then thinks to himself, "I thank you Crono for teaching me that. Too bad it was worthless until I added some of my own magic to it." After this he disappears.

"Damn you, for eternity!", the king swears as he sees nothing left but chaos.

..................................

"What in the world was that?!", asks Jessica, "An earthquake?"

*Please take into consideration that Magus's castle is across an ocean from Guardia*

"Well, whatever it is, it wasn't healthy?, Kyle says with utter sarcasm, trying to squeak some humor into their predicament.

"Oh, shut up Kyle, this is serious."

At that moment, foot steps are heard from far down the hallway. They are long intervalled steps, as if someone is either hopping or taking very looong steps. They become increasingly louder. All five of them now are directed toward the hallway ahead of them.

"Gribbit....gribbit.." also starts to be heard.

"Who the hell are you, or what are you!", asks Nash who is quite amazed.

"Need you not know that", asks the frog-looking human. It's eyes and face are exactly that of a frog, proportioned to that of a five-foot human male. Its arms and legs were quite thin, but strong enough to carry a sword, shield, and breastplate armor. It walked in a normal position, but hopped like that of a frog when increasing speed.

"I have cometh to free thy."

The whole group looks too shocked to reply.

"And I haveth brought the true reason for your release forthwith.", speaking with an old English manner.

As the party begins to hear another set of footsteps arrive, frog starts to slash the chains that bind them. Who could possibly further their cause? They remained cautious.

A figure walks in, but stops halfway out of the shadows. A plaid kilt is seen with broad, muscular legs. Alex's heart begins to beat rapidly. His eyes widened and started to say something when he was interrupted by a familiar voice....

"Hello again, Alex...."
