Only one thing motivates Dalton Granger - money. He'll do just about anything - for a price. One thing you can count on though, is that he won't double-cross you. He has a policy of always completing his end of a bargain, never turning on his current employer, even when someone else offers him more money. "It's bad for business," he'll tell you. "to go 'round makin' deals, then breakin' 'em. Folks don't wanna hire a fella like that."
Originally from Hive Tempestora on Armageddon, Granger participated in several skirmishes and battles during the second Armageddon War, when the Ork Warlord Ghazgkull Thraka first invaded the war-torn hiveworld. Then fighting to protect his home, the young Granger quickly learned to fight hard, the only way to survive in such a situation. When the invasion ended, everyone he knew and loved had been lost to the Ork invasion. He decided then that the only person he could count on was himself, so he set out to make a name for himself as a bounty hunter and mercenary. For many years he was moderately successful, earning enough to live on and pay transport fees to get him around the Imperium. However, it was not until he hooked up with Inquisitor Ophelia that he really started to make some money. She was quite impressed with his abilities, and especially with the loyalty that he showed once hired, and has recently hired him on retainer, as a personal bodyguard. He has yet to disappoint, and has a habit of getting the job done, even when injured.
