Guardians are the standard troops that make up the bulk of the eldar forces in the forty first century. They are ordinary eldar that have been trained to fight and they are called to arms whenever the craft world is in danger.
Guardians are generally overlooked by many gamers, this could be for
a number of reasons.

Armour- Mesh Armour
A guardian squad may include a guardian squad leader. The squad leader
counts as a squad member and is not considered to be a character model.
The usual rules apply concerning the armament of the squad. The guardian
squad leader may not take any wargear cards.
Guardian Lieutenant- A guardian lieutenant is the highest rank
available within the guardian forces. It bridges the gap between the mighty
farseers and the guardian squad leaders. This is a position of great importance
as it is very beneficial to the farseer to be able to delegate tasks to
subordinates.

Armour- Mesh Armour
Your army may contain one guardian lieutenant for every three guardian squads (and multiples thereof) it contains. The guardian lieutenant may lead armies of up to a maximum of 1500 points, provided that at least half of the points cost of the army is from guardians (including squads, characters and special characters, anti grav platforms and guardian piloted vehicles) and that the army does not contain a farseer, exarch, phoenix lord or avatar. The guardian lieutenant has a strategy rating of three.
The guardian lieutenant may take additional equipment from the assault,
special, grenades and armour sections of the army list. He may also take
up to one wargear card.
Guardian Lieutenant Haxen- Haxen is an experienced guardian lieutenant
from the Ulthwe craftworld. He has fought many times under the famous eldar
farseer, Eldrad. He is an expert strategist and he is well known for leading
daring raids against the enemies of the craftworld. He employs lightening
speed in his attacks and often enemy commanders do not know what is happening
until it is too late. Due to his many successes in battle he is greatly
admired by the eldar guardians under his command.

Your army must contain three guardian squads in order to take Haxen. He may lead armies of up to a maximum of 2000 points, provided that at least half of the points cost of the army is from guardians (including squads, characters and special characters, anti grav platforms and guardian piloted vehicles) and that the army does not contain a farseer, phoenix lord or avatar. Haxen has a strategy rating of four. In addition, If Haxen is in your army, when rolling to see which side goes first you may roll two dice and choose the highest score.
Haxen may also take up to two wargear cards. These must always be a scanner (1 point) and digi lasers (6 points).
