Balthamel

Wore a leather carapace in place of a face. Destroyed by the Green Man. Reason for turning to the Shadow: Unknown. Current location: most probably north of Salidar. Current status: Most probably reborn as the one named Aran'gar.

Be'lal

A blademaster. Called the Netweaver; boasted of playing a game of stones once with Lews Therin and winning. Wanted Callandor for his own. Reason for turning to the Shadow: Unknown. Current location: dead. Current status: burned out of the Pattern forever by a "stinging fly, a biteme" named Moiraine.

Demandred

Formerly known as Barid Bel Medar. Of all the Forsaken, the one with the greatest hatred of Lews Therin Telamon. Came out second best to him in everything: birth, strength in the Power, rank in the armies of the Light. Reason for turning to the Shadow: to step out of the shadow of Lews Therin. Current location: possibly the area known as the Black Tower. Current status: Most probably posing as Mazrim Taim.

Graendal

Once an ascetic in the Age of Legends. Enjoys Compelling high ranking people to serve her whims. Reason for turning to the Shadow: to deny herself no pleasure that could be attained. Current location: Arad Doman. Current status: allied with Sammael.

Ishamael

Formerly known as Elan Morin Tedronai. The most powerful of the Forsaken. Only one of the Forsaken foolish enough to wield the True Power. Tried to turn Rand al'Thor before killing him. Inflicted a serious wound upon him during their battle at Falme. Controlled the Black Ajah before his death. Reason for turning to the Shadow: Unknown. Current location: Unknown. Current status: Unknown.

Lanfear

Formerly known as Mierin, an Aes Sedai of the Age of Legends. The second strongest Forsaken, also known as the Daughter of the Night. Loved Lews Therin Telamon. Opened the Bore with a male Aes Sedai known as Beidomon. Reason for turning to the Shadow: jealousy of Ilyena Therin Moerelle. Current location: the wrong side of a redstone doorway into the land of the Foxes. Current status: Unknown.

Mesaana

Wanted to be a teacher in the Age of Legends, but was not accepted. Behind the capture attempt of Rand al'Thor. Reason for turning to the Shadow: so she could become a teacher as she always wanted. Current location: White Tower. Current status: in control of the Black Ajah.

Moghedien

Called the Spider because of her extreme cowardice - or, as she tells it, patience and ability to strike from hiding. Good at controlling Tel'aran'rhiod. Has an extreme hate of Nynaeve al'Meara. Reason for turning to the Shadow: Unknown. Current location: Ebou Dar. Current status: Shackled in a cour'souvra by Moridin and serving him.

Rahvin

Has white wings in his hair. Controlled the Lion Throne of Andor for a short time as Lord Gaebril. Enjoyed Compelling beautiful high-ranking women to do his pleasure. Reason for turning to the Shadow: Unknown. Current location: dead. Current status: balefired.

Sammael

Formerly known as Tel Janin Aellinsar. Controlled the Illianer Council of Nine as Lord Brend. At his best while defending. Betrayed the Gates of Hevan and lead many successful attacks against Lews Therin. Reason for turning to the Shadow: jealousy of Lews Therin's standing in the armies of the Light. Current location: last seen in Shadar Logoth. Current status: Unknown.

Semirhage

A criminal in the Age of Legends. A very good torturer. Enjoys it too much, as well. Reason for turning to the Shadow: wanted immortality. Current location: Unknown. Current status: alive and working for Shaidar Haran.
