Super Mario RPG Beginners Guide

This page contains tips and info. for beginners. This page may also benefit the intermediate/advanced group.

Attack Techniques
You can buy, find, or even win many weapons in the game. But it does little good to find an important item, without equipping it in the equip menu. Once equipped, these weapons become a characters Regular Attacks. Be sure to check the equip menu beforehand to see what you have on stock. Regular Attacks are your bread and butter. Special Attacks look great, but draw down your limited supply of Flower Points, the main source for Flower Points. You can wreak extra damage with timed attacks. Whenever you're low on cash, sell the weapons/armor/accessories you don't need and aren't using.

Flower Points
Almost as important as Hit Points, they power your Special Attacks. You'll start the game with 20, then gradually increase to the maximum of 99.
