Gamplay Help:
Bowser's Info

 Weapons
Chomp Shell
The game description for Bowser's Chomp Shell says ‘It's
a Kinklink shell'. Bowser swings this weapon above his head and then sends
it flying toward his enemy. If you do the timed hit correctly, the Chomp
Shell will bite the enemy a number of times. This is the first weapon that
you can purchase for Bowser, but this is a weaker weapon than the Chomp,
which can be found for free in the Booster Tower. The Chomp Shell has an
attack rating of 9 and can be purchased at the Marrymore Inn/Shop and the
Seaside Town Weapon and Armor Shop for 60 Coins.

Chomp

The game description for Bowser's Chomp says ‘Just spin me at
an enemy!'. Bowser swings this weapon above his head and then sends it flying
toward his enemy. If you do the timed hit correctly, the Chomp will bite
the enemy a number of times. This is the first weapon that Bowser can find
and it is the first chain attack that Bowser will have available to him.
The Chomp has an attack rating of 10 and can be found in the Ancestor's Room
of Booster Tower.

Hurly Gloves

The game description for Bowser's Hurly Gloves says ‘A
classic Mario-toss attack'. Bowser will hurl either a Mario doll or Mario
himself at the enemy. This is Bowser's first and only hurl attack. The Hurly
Gloves have an attack rating of 20 and can be purchased at the Sea's Item
Shop or from the Salesman in the Sunken Ship for 92 Coins.

Spiked Link

The game description of Bowser's Spiked Link is ‘A studded
ball and chain!'. Bowser swings this weapon above his head and sends it flying
toward his enemy. If you do the timed hit correctly, the spikes will extend
out three times. This is the third and strongest of Bowser's chain attacks.
The Spiked Link has an attack rating of 30 and can be purchased at the Monstro
Town Item Shop for 94 Coins.

Drill Claw

‘A drilling claw!' is what the game description reads for
Bowser's Drill Claw. Bowser will take a swipe at the enemy with his claws.
If you get the timed hit, he will then drill into the enemy with his left
claw. This is the strongest weapon that Bowser can use in the game. The Drill
Claw has an attack rating of 40 and can be found in Bowser's Keep behind
the door leading to the Terra Cotta Fighting Room.

Timed Hits
Timing a Claw Attack
When Bowser is equipped with no weapon or the Drill
Claw, press the A Button just before he strikes an enemy to do extra damage.
Timing a Chomp Attack

To perform a Timed Chomp Attack, wait until Bowser
is ready to throw the Chomp at the enemy (after he has spun the Chomp over
his head about three times) then press the A Button to cause more damage.
The weapons that use this type of attack are the Chomp Shell, Chomp, and
Spiked Link.
Timing a Hurly Glove Attack

To perform a Timed Hit with the Hurly Glove,
wait until Bowser picks-up Mario (or the Mario doll), then press the A Button
just before he throws Mario at the enemy.

Armor
The armor below is listed in order of weakest to strongest.
Happy Shell
This can be purchased at the Marrymore Inn/Item Shop and
the Seaside Town Weapons and Armor Shop for 38 coins. It increases Defense
by six points and Magic Defense by three points.

Courage Shell

This can be purchased at the Monstro Town Weapons and Armor
Shop for 60 coins. It increases Defense by 12 points and Magic Defense by
six points.
Work Pants

These can be purchased at the Rose Town Item Shop and the Seaside
Town Weapons and Armor Shop for 22 coins. They increase your Speed, Attack
and Magic Defense by five points, your Attack and Magic Attack by 10 points,
and your Defense by 15 points.
Fire Shell

This can be purchased at the Hino Mart in the Barrel Volcano
and from Croco in Bowser's Keep for 90 coins. It increases Defense by 18
points and Magic Defense by nine points.
Heal Shell

This can be purchased from Croco in his second Bowser's Keep
location for 100 coins. It increases Defense by 24 points and Magic Defense
by 12 points.

Super Suit

Perhaps the most mysterious item in Super Mario RPG, the Super
Suit is also the hardest item to get! It will be given to you in Monstro
Town if you succeed in doing 100 Super Jumps in a battle. (Use Mario's Super
Jump Attack on an enemy, then press the Y Button just before hitting the
opponent to hop on his head again. Do this 100 times WITHOUT falling off.
Good luck!) Everyone can equip the Super Jacket. It increases Speed by 30
points, and Attack, Defense, Magic Attack, and Magic Defense by 50 points.

Lazy Shell
The Lazy Shell Armor can be found in the clouds after giving
the Gardener in Rose Town the Seed and Fertilizer. Climb the vine the Gardener
grows to locate the Treasure Box with the Lazy Shell Armor. The Lazy Shell
Armor can be equipped by everyone, but it's a trade-off -- you lose speed
and attack power for superior defensive strength. It reduces Speed, Attack
and Magic Attack by 50 points each, but increases Defense and Magic Defense
by a whopping 127 points each.

Special Attacks
Terrorize

Terrorize is a Fear Attack that can scare enemies into missing
their attacks. Bowser has this Special Attack when he joins your party. It
uses six Flower Points and has a Magic Power rating of 10.

Poison Gas

Poison Gas creates a vile cloud that shrouds the enemy party.
The faster you can circle the arrows on your Control Pad, the more damage
the cloud will cause. Bowser learns this Special Attack at Level 12. It uses
10 Flower Points each time you use it, and has a Magic Power rating of 10.

Crusher

Bowser's Crusher Special Attack drops a rock slide on your enemy.
Hit the Y Button just before the rock lands to cause extra damage. Bowser
learns this Special Attack at Level 15, and it has a Magic Power rating of
60. Crusher uses 12 Flower Points at a time.

Bowser Crush

The Bowser Crush is Bowser's strongest Special Attack, with
a Magic Power rating of 58. For a mere 16 Flower Points, this attacks sends
a large version of one of Bowser's pals to stomp on the enemy party. Bowser
learns Bowser Crush at Level 18.
