Gameplay Help:
Mallow's Info
Weapons
Froggie Stick
The game description of the Froggie Stick says 'Frogfucious
made it'. Mallow will swing the stick down on the enemy's head. If you do
the timed hit correctly, he will take a second swing at the enemy. This is
the first weapon that Mallow can find and it is also the first stick attack
that Mallow will have available. Mallow can get it from Frogfucious, at Tadpole
Pond, after he gives him the Cricket Pie. The Froggie Stick has an attack
rating of 20.
Cymbals
The game description for the Cymbals says 'Scare enemies with a
clash'. Mallow will clap the cymbals together to do damage to the enemy.
If you do the timed hit correctly, he will move them apart after the hit
to do more damage. This is the first cymbal attack that Mallow can obtain.
The Cymbals have an attack rating of 30 and can be purchased at the Moleville
Item Shop and the Seaside Town Weapons and Armor Shop for 42 Coins.
Whomp Glove
'The old double whammie!' is what the game description says
about the Whomp Glove. Mallow will hit the enemy with both hands. If you
do the timed hit correctly, Mallow will then slam both hands down on the
enemy's head. This is a stronger version of Mallow's punch attack that can
be found after you have entered the Marrymore area. The Whomp Glove has an
attack rating of 40 and can be purchased at the Marrymore Inn/Shop, the Seaside
Town Weapon and Armor Shop, the Sea Item Shop, and the Sunken Ship Salesman
for 72 Coins.
Ribbit Stick
The game description for the Ribbit Stick says 'It'll come
in handy'. Mallow will swing the stick down on the enemy's head. If you do
the timed hit correctly, he will take a second swing at the enemy. This is
the strongest of Mallow's stick attacks, with an attack rating of attack
50. The Ribbit Stick can be purchased at the Seaside Town Weapons and Armor
Shop for 86 Coins.
Sticky Glove
The Sticky Gloves game description says 'Launches a punch attack'.
Mallow will hit the enemy with both hands. If you do the timed hit correctly,
Mallow will then slam both hands down on the enemy's head. This is the strongest
punch attack that Mallow can obtain. The Sticky Glove has an attack rating
of 60 and can be purchased at the Nimbus Land Item Shop for 98 Coins.
Sonic Cymbals
The game description of the Sonic Cymbal says 'Puts noise
to work for you!'. Mallow will clap the cymbals together to do damage to
the enemy. If you do the timed hit correctly, he will move them apart after
the hit to do more damage. With an attack rating of 70, this is the strongest
weapon and the strongest cymbal attack that Mallow can find. It can be found
in Bowser's Keep after completing the Lava and Moving Block Room, which is
one of the possible rooms that the 6 Big Red Doors will lead to.
Timed Hits
Timing a Punch Attack
To perform a Timed Hit when Mallow is equipped with
a glove or no weapon, press the A Button just before Mallow punches the enemy.
The attack will consist of two punches.

just before he swings it to perform the Timed Hit. Mallow will whack his
opponent twice.
Timing a Cymbals Attack

they clap to perform a Timed Hit. If performed correctly, the cymbals will
open again and cause extra damage to the enemy.

Super SuitPerhaps the most mysterious item in Super Mario RPG, the Super
Jacket is also the hardest item to get! It will be given to you in Monstro
Town if you succeed in doing 100 Super Jumps in a battle. (Use Mario's Super
Jump Attack on an enemy, then press the Y Button just before hitting the
opponent to hop on his head again. Do this 100 times WITHOUT falling off.
Good luck!) Everyone can equip the Super Jacket. It increases Speed by 30
points, and Attack, Defense, Magic Attack, and Magic Defense by 50 points.
Lazy Shell
The Lazy Shell Armor can be found in the clouds after giving
the Gardener in Rose Town the Seed and Fertilizer. Climb the vine the Gardener
grows to locate the Treasure Box with the Lazy Shell Armor. The Lazy Shell
Armor can be equipped by everyone, but it's a trade-off -- you lose speed
and attack power for superior defensive strength. It reduces Speed, Attack
and Magic Attack by 50 points each, but increases Defense and Magic Defense
by a whopping 127 points each.
Special Attacks
Thunderbolt
Mallow starts the adventure with a Special Attack called
Thunderbolt. Hit the Y Button just before the Thunderbolt ends to get the
best results. Mallow's Thunderbolt uses two Flower Points and has a Magic

Point renewal, Hit the Y Button just before the shower ends. Mallow's HP

HP Rain when he reaches Level 3.
Psychopath
Mallow's Psychopath will let you see foe's Hit Points and secrets!

use at the beginning of major battles. Mallow learns this ability when he
reaches Level 6.
Check out my Psychopath Guide for Mallow for more information.
Shocker
Shocker is a very powerful version of Mallow's Thunderbolt Attack.
