Ordering Procedures
ORDERING STAMPS: Buyers may place individual
orders for stamps or establish a standing subscription for convenience.
SUBSCRIPTIONS: As a subscriber, you are certain to receive all
new issues. You may choose between the following methods of dispatch: 1}
after each issue, 2} twice a year, 3) once a year. A specified bill will
be enclosed with each consignment. If you wish to receive more stamps or
FDCs of a certain issue than covered by your subscription, you should order
the extra stamps or FDCs separately. Do not forget to mention your subscription
number. The amount due for these extra stamps or FDCs is collected in the
same way as the subscription.
NON-SUBSCRIPTION ORDERS: You may choose any stamps or FDCs listed
in the Stock List in whatever quantities required.
The amount due should be transferred at the same time as your order.
METHODS OF PAYMENT: You may pay by certified bank cheque, by
means of banknotes sent by registered letter or by bank transfer to ABN-AMRO
Bank account # 30.57.550. Payment by means of stamps, coin or international
reply coupon cannot be accepted. For conversion of foreign currency, the
bank rate of exchange on the day of receipt of the payment is used.
VISA and American Express Travelers cheques and postal orders or International
Money Orders, or postgiro account #419545 Postbank N.V. - Amsterdam or
Girobetaalkaart in Afl. (Aruban currency) are also acceptable.
Payment can be made by means of a deposit. On receipt of the first payment
and the subscription Order form, a current
account is opened in your name. You will be informed of your subscription
number when we write to confirm receipt of your form. If the balance of
your current account is insufficient to cover the costs of the next consignment,
you will receive a request to make an additional payment. If this is not
done, dispatch of the consignment will be deferred. If payment is overdue,
certain stamps may no longer be available. It is essential that you quote
your subscription number in all correspondence with the PSA.
ORDER QUANTITIES: Depending on the printing technique used,
stamps are produced in sheets of 50 or 100 stamps. In general, stamps are
supplied in quantities of 1, 2, 4 or 10, in parts of sheets or whole sheets.
When 2 stamps are ordered, you receive a horizontal pair. When 4 stamps
are ordered, you receive a block of four. Orders for 10 stamps are made
up of two horizontal rows of 5 stamps each. Requests for central cancellations
(socked-on-the-nose) can only be supplied individually.
CANCELLATIONS: All stamps can be supplied either cancelled or
in mint condition. Stamps are cancelled by means of a date stamp. If customers
do not state their preference when ordering cancelled stamps, the stamps
will be supplied with corner cancellations.
All first day covers issued by the Postal Services of Aruba are cancelled
with the first-day-of-issue cancellation. Any other FDC bearing stamps
other than the one issued cannot be cancelled with a first-day-of-issue
cancellation, but will be cancelled with the normal postmark cancellation.
FDCs or envelopes bearing stamps of other countries will not be cancelled
with the Aruba postmark cancellation.
