There are a lot of things you can give your canary to make him or her a happier pet. Here's a few:

Lettuce is a favorite canary treat.

Carrots are tasty, and they will help a redfactor canary keep his color!

Newspaper strips are a cheap and easy nesting material.

Yarn is a good nesting material for canaries. Sometimes they prefer certain colors, so it's a good idea to give your female canary a variety.
