Updated in the Past
I have updated the Discipline
Web Guide with the Landisian Knight Discipline. This Human-only Discipline
was wiped out with the Scourge, and its members belong to one of three Orders,
depending on their circle.
The Rating Page has changed slightly.
Disciplines are now rated on a scale from one to five, and the actual ratings
(which will never be perfect) have been double-checked. A second
page has been added for amusing explanations about particular scores along
with the top ten list.
The Alchemist Discipline submitted
by Norbert Szongott has been added to the Discipline Page.
These adepts are masters at understanding and manipulating the patterns of magical
items, as well as creating potions.
The Discipline Web Guide has
been updated with ThunderLord Discipline by Zorgus' EarthDawn Dimension. What
this Discipline lacks in balance it nearly gains back in its flair for the dramatic
and unadulterated mayhem it can cause. Definitely inspired by someone who must
really love the Final Fantasy series ;)
I have also added the last few session's worth of quotes
to the Quotes page.
I have added the Cavalier
Discipline by Brian O'Donnell to the Discipline Web
Guide. This Discipline brings together an interesting mix of talents to
create a Knightly hero. Brian would love feedback on this beta version, his
e-mail is at the bottom of the Cavalier page.
The Campaign Page now includes
the character sheet of Kerowyn, Theran Swordmistress
extrordinaire. Also, a short description of each character has been added as
well.
The Discipline Page has been updated
with newly received submission from Timo Josten
- The Head-Hunter Discipline. This Discipline is a pagan cross between a Swordsmaster
and Nethermancer who shrinks his slain enemies heads to gain power and to fuel
his talents. In addition, Rob Bodreau's Knight
Discipline has been updated.
I have created an entirely new and separate Discipline
page containing my own Disciplines as well as the submissions I have received.
It also contains submission guidelines for Disciplines
or any other material people would like to submit.
The Samurai Discipline has just been added to the Discipline
Web Guide. This NPC Discipline has its roots in the east and would make
for a very interesting adversary because of the strict code of honor to which
the Samurai are bound.
The Discipline Web Guide has
been updated with the Paladin Discipline by neXus. It gives an excellent framework
to the Lightbearer talent, creating a Warrior with a strong horror-fighting,
holy quest side. This Discipline retains the good qualities of the old AD&D
Paladin but adapts them to fighting horrors, definitely worth a look.
I have updated the Discipline
Web Guide with the Fire Mage Discipline, by Zorgus' EarthDawn Dimension.
This Discipline uses the basic concept of more power is better. Check it out
and watch him do everything from travel within his own fireball to summon common
dragons with a spell.
The Discipline Web Guide has been updated with three new Disciplines. They are the Tomb Robber, the Knight of Landis, and another Assassin Discipline. The deluge of Assassin Disciplines is annoying, but there must be something to it if everyone already made their own - and I suppose I'm not exactly innocent either ;)
The Harlequin Discipline has been added to the Discipline Web Guide. It was done by Tim Daly-Farrell at The Chosen Ones (formerly Kleesch's Earthdawn Campaign), and seems to be a combination of the Warrior with a little Troubador-type talents thrown in. It's a very cool and innovative type of combat discipline (complete with a "kiss of death"), check it out.
I have re-organized The Eternal Library so that it now has both spells and magical items (and maybe even talent knacks if I ever get around to them). I have added Romel's Guardian Staff to the library as the first magical item.
Two new Disciplines, the Bartender Discipline by Rob Bodreau, and the Oneiromancer Discipline by Andrew Ragland, have been added to the Discipline Web Guide. The Oneiromancer is a type of spellcaster called a Dream Mage. It is a very complete and interesting discipline, even if a little strange at first.
The Discipline Web Guide has been updated with the Diplomat Discipline by Philip Shannin, and the Elemental Warrior, Ranger, Warmaster, and Weapons Monk Disciplines by Repulsive Monkey's Tree. The Spiritual Monk Discipline by Repulsive Monkey's Tree has also recently been revised.
The Agent Discipline has been added to the Discipline Web Guide. It is the second discipline by Rob Boudreau and is a Thief of sorts, but a Thief of information instead of items.
I have added the Knight Discipline to the ever-growing Discipline Web Guide. It's pretty cool, and is a very chivalrous and toned-down member of the warrior-type disciplines, focusing more on protection of others and self-sacrifice.
The Discipline Web Guide with the new Mercenary Warrior Discipline by Raven 13. It takes a less mystical approach to the way the warrior sees life, focusing more on one on one combat than magic.
Jeremey over at Jeremy's EarthDawn has updated his Blood Mage Discipline, balancing it more and giving it tons of background. Adapting this into a campaign has just been made a lot easier, and using one a lot more fun.
I have updated the Discipline Web Guide with the Ninja Disicpline by Jared Freeland at Morpheus's Earthdawn. He has included a pretty cool background for the origins of the discipline, and some interesting new talents such as elemental hands.
The Discipline Web Guide has been updated with the Highwayman Discipline by A. Zimmerman at the Hidden Knowledge. It seems to be a cross between a Gallant Swordmaster and a Thief for a charming Robin Hood-like character.
The Discipline Web Guide has been updated with the Cleric, Ranger, and Elemental Warrior disicplines by Morpheus's Earthdawn. The first two seem to be good adaptations of AD&D style classes, and the last is a Warrior with a spellcasting ability tied to his weapon.
The files section has been updated with
the latest version of Ben the Archivist's EarthDawn Character Generator. EDCG_13b.zip now has a grimoire section with all published FASA spells for Elementalists, Nethermancers, Wizards, Illusionists, and Shamans alike. Excellent descriptions of each spell are included as well as a solid interface.
The new Sentinel of Timbers Discipline done by A. Zimmerman has been added to the Web Guide to ED Disciplines. It appears to be a balanced Beastmaster of sorts except with the emphasis on plants as opposed to animals. A character following this discipline wouldn't be a complete combat goon and would probably have some pretty cool role playing opportunities in the right campaign.
A new spell named Blazing Sphere of Inferno has been added to the Eternal Library. Why not chase after your enemies with a huge ball of fire?
I have added two new disciplines to the Web Guide to EarthDawn Disciplines. One is yet another Assassin, done by Fluxion, using the existing ones as inspiration to re-shuffle the existing talents. The other is a more group-oriented take on the Thief Discipline, done by Rob
Ciccolini, giving more Scout-like abilities to the Thief Discipline.
Felargon Schiefzahn, has updated his Jester Discipline with slightly modified talents as well as with new talent knacks. This discipline is the most complete one out there, and is rated number 1 on the rating page.
The new Spy discipline made by Forbidden Delirium has been added to the EarthDawn Discipline Web Guide. As of yet, it's only mostly finished, but from what I saw, it looks like a great addition to the disciplines on the web.
Ben the Archivist at Lost Papers has come out with a new version of his ever-popular EarthDawn Character Generator. EDCG_13a.zip has skills, new disciplines to choose from, more races and is just easier and more fun to use, check it out, it has been posted in the files section.
I have finished and posted the Shape Shifter Discipline. I always thought it would be cool if there were Shape Shifters in EarthDawn and this could be a plausible way for it to happen. I think its pretty well balanced and has a few interesting twists (like turning into a beast) to make it interesting. Any comments or suggestions are always welcome.
The campaign page has been updated with the new character Kerowyn T'Abeir, the most arrogant rich Theran Swordmaster on a power trip I have ever met, who just joined this Monday. The funny quotes page has also been updated, and the campaign log for session 5 has also been posted.
I have added a Message Board for discussions, comments, and thoughts about EarthDawn Disciplines both published and on the web. You are welcome to post any thoughts you have on disciplines, such as what you think makes a great discipline, or what you think disciplines should be.
I updated the files section, adding the EarthDawn Character Generator version 1.2a and a new character sheet, which my character Gairten is using at the moment.
Sessions logs 1 through 4 of the campaign I'm in, EarthDawn: Desert of Desolation are now up along with some new players who joined the campaign.
Three new disciplines have been added to the WWW Guide of EarthDawn Disciplines. They are the Theran Battlemage, the Swordancer, and the Weaponmaster disciplines.
I have added a Rating Section to my EarthDawn Discipline Web Guide page, in addition to a Top Ten list. The ratings are based on originality and coolness of concept, descriptiveness and choice of talents, game balance as a PC, as well as an overall rating. Quite a few EarthDawn people helped me put it together so hopefully I won't get too much hate mail from authors.
The Librarian adept was added to the WWW Guide of EarthDawn Disciplines.
The EarthDawn: Desert of Desolation campaign page has been updated with session logs for both the first and second session. I also added a funny quotes page.
Updated the Discipline Web Guide adding the Martial, Escort, Mountainer, Cook, and another Assassin Discipline, this one on a year old page that I missed before, by Jan Gerke. This discipline seems way too popular, I hope no one else makes one =)
I have put all of my EarthDawn links on one page and provided descriptions to each site. I also have added a page for the campaign I'm currently in, EarthDawn: Desert of Desolation.
I decided to take the EarthDawn things in my general What's New page and make this page. I realize my ED page is the most frequently visited page out of all of my pages so I think my visitors will find it useful.
I found two disciplines I missed earlier, the Blood Mage and the Dragon Slayer disciplines, on Jeremy's EarthDawn. Tower Arcanus also just made the Earth Warden Discipline.
Two new disciplines, the Assassin (NPC) and the Crusader, have been added to the WWW Guide of EarthDawn Disciplines.
Added a new spell named Flame Arc to the Eternal Library.
Updated my Web Guide to EarthDawn Disciplines, adding three new disciplines to the list.
The names and some of the descriptions of the characters in the EarthDawn: Desert of Desolation campaign have been added.
Added a Web Guide to EarthDawn Disciplines that can be found on the web. This will be updated frequently.
A new discipline named the
Assassin Discipline has been posted.
Added The Eternal Library along containing the new spell Five Rings of Fire.
Links everywhere have been updated, all small things taken care of... Now for the big things.
