"Darn, I knew that would happen! She didn't even bother to heal herself!" shouted Bowser above the noise of battle. "This is the last 'Pick Me Up' we've got. I hope no one else goes unconscious."
"Don't worry! As long as we keep her healthy, she can use her 'Come Back' technique if anyone else falls," shouted Mario in return. "Geno, time to use your boost."
"I would if I could, but I don't have enough Flower Points! I'll have to use the Maple Syrup."
Mario, Mallow, Geno, Bowser, and Princess Toadstool were at the final battle with Smithy. They only needed to defeat him to win the last star and triumph over all evil. They were supposed to only use three fighters at a time, but Smithy was so tough that they broke the rule and all five of them were fighting at once. They were shouting advice and encouragement to one another while trying to avoid being knocked down at the same time.
"Don't worry, he's only got about one hundred HP left -- Yeouch!" Mallow got hit by Smithy, and then had only ten HP left.
"Here, you need my Therapy!" Princess healed Mallow.
"Good-bye, you Keep stealer!" growled Bowser. He lunged his Chomp at Smithy with all his might. Smithy suddenly exploded into bits. They had won!
