BACKGROUND:
Knife Guy and his partner Grate Guy were travelling entertainers who eked out
an existance by performing in seedy drinking establishments around the
Mushroom World. One day they happened upon Booster's Tower, and as it
turns out, Booster is a sucker for entertainment of all types. He's also
quite wealthy, and the Pair became close friends with Booster, and became
permanent guests in Booster's home.
Knife Guy dresses up in a bright yellow clown costume. He wears brightly coloured
and carries a set of throwing knives which he uses in his act with Grate
Guy, and for less savoury purposes when danger is about.

OTHER BACKGROUND INFO:
"The real test in the tower comes from the two clowns on the balcony. When you
step outside to rescue the princess, you'll run afoul of this sharp pair who want
nothing so much as to juggle with Mario's life. you should concentrate your party's
attack and defeat one of the Guys first. Knife Guy is particularly susceptible
to Mario's Fire Attacks." - SMRPG Player's Guide

QUOTES:
"Happiness is hip!" (hidden quote)
"Wait! You took all the trouble to come here, so...stick around!"
"Come on, brother! Let's thrash 'em!"

BATTLE PLAN:
Attack Pattern:
Knife guy has a wide variety of attacks, and he seems to put all of them to good
use. Knife Throw hits one character for quite a bit of damage, Crystal hits
one for relatively little damage. Blizzard hits the whole party, and will weaken
everyone. Knife Guy's regular attack involves some fancy knife-juggling followed
by stabbing - ouch!
Basic Fighting Strategies:
As some of the other sections suggest, Fire works well on Knife Guy, as do regular
attacks. You should concentrate your efforts by trying to defeat one of the two
clowns first, rather than doing both at once. Knife Guy is a good first choice,
since he's got less HP than Grate Guy.
Advanced Strategies:
The best team to do battle with the Guys is Mario, Mallow, and either of the other two (Geno
might have a slight advantage over Bowser.) If Knife Guy and Grate Guy use their team attack
on you, just continue to attack the one you were fighting before.
In addition to Fire attacks, the Geno Beam and Jump work reasonably well on
Knife Guy, although they may not be good enough to warrant their use. Bowser's
Terrorize may weaken Knife Guy a bit, and will cause a little bit of damage, plus
it hits both enemies at the same time. Still, it may not be worth wasting the
FP. As usual, Mallow can use HP rain to keep your party's energy up.
Knife Guy's attack can be difficult to block, because he juggles before actually
attacking. When he does attack, he has a fairly slow stabbing motion, so you may
be able to anticipate the attack. Clearly, you need to press A just as he strikes.
It may also be possible to block the Knife Throw by pressing A just before it hits
the chosen target.
