Shown below is the map of the region surrounding Imperial space.  The colored areas show where the various empires claim control and establish 'borders' of controled space.  The fighting is constant along the fronts between the three empires, and the battle to try to cut off expansion is always raging.  Note that these areas are more representative of zones of control than of actual inhabited space.  Most of the planets along the border regions will have an outpost at the very most.  The Empress claims all space that she can get a fleet to within a week.  The recent capture of Earth has helped expand her zone of control and has put her in a position to try to do an end-around on the Morgoth Emprire (shown in red).  The binary star system highlighted yellow that sits just outside of the Empress' border is the system where Mindwave and the Star Fist's crew encountered a Morgoth torpedo platform.  The Empress, believing that the Morgoth expansion is greater than Imperial Intelligence had estimated, has set her sights on the Tirax system (shown in white at the right edge of the map).

Major planets have been highlighted and labeled.  They are as follows:

Aurdon:  Homeworld of the Empress and center of her empire.  This planet is truly a paradise.  Shining cities dot the landscape, surrounded by rolling plains, extensive forests, and great mountain ranges.  Terraforming and Weather Control Systems help keep the planet (and its population) balanced and stable.  The Empress' main shipyard is also located here, as well as the finest military training facility in the Empire.

Earth:  Newest acquisition of Imperial forces.  An orbital shipyard and defensive battle stations are being put into place, and the Empress has built a grand palace on the outskirts of Paris.  Earth will serve as the anchor point in the Empress' attempt to envelope the Morgoth territory and stop their expansion.

Tau Ceti:  Resource-rich planet with a humanoid population that is believed to have originated from the Tirax system.  Also the landing site of the Tiraxian colony ship Voyager and its crew.  The crew of the Voyager had no idea of the 'natives' existence before arriving on the planet.  It's unclear how, if the 'natives' came from Tirax, they lost all of their technology.  Control of Tau Ceti is constantly being contested by the Morgoths, and the Empress has a battle cruiser stationed in system at all times, and there is nearly always a full battle group not too far away.

Dracona:  Homeworld of Vargh and center of the Morgoth empire.  Little is known of Dracona, except that the entire surface is covered with machinery and structures, and that it's vastly overpopulated.

Arcadia:  The name of this planet is misleading, in that this planet is anything but a paradise.  Having fallen under Morgoth control several years ago, the entire planet is a war-torn wasteland.  Morgoth war machines constantly patrol the planet, searching for any survivors and annhilating those they find. Unfortunately, the people that are left on the planet believe that it is the Empress that has destroyed their planet and is hunting them rather than the Morgoths.   It was here that Mindwave, Dr. Von Otto, and the rest of the team first met Vargh.

Triannai:  If little is known about the Morgoth homeworld, even less is known about the center of the Trianni Empire.  Technologically the Trianni are behind both the Empire and the Morgoths.  The biggest advantage that the Trianni have  is that they're an avian species capable of flight, and they've been dealing with three-dimensional movement since birth.  This makes them excellent pilots, and partially makes up for where their technology falls short.  Still, the Trianni Empire is the smallest of the three, and their ships are barely a match for Imperial warships.

Tirax:  In an effort to make sure that she's completely surrounded the Morgoth Empire, the Empress has set her sights on this planet.  Tirax is controled by a computer (which calls itself Omega-1) that has enslaved the native population.  The Tiraxians have faster-than-light drives, and are capable of interstellar flight, however the computer is so xenophobic it does not choose to have any ships leave the system, lest they draw attention.  Omega-1 will also attack any ships or probes that enter the system.  It is deathly afraid of outsiders, as they pose a threat to its continued existance.  There are numerous freedom fighter groups on the planet, and some contact has been made with them.  Plans continue to try to liberate the Tiraxians from the tyrannical rule of Omega-1.
