Banjo-Tooie

The Wait:
The year was 1998. A long awaited game, "Banjo-Kazooie," was released for the Nintendo 64 by a british based company, Rareware. Its graphics were ahead of their time, and the gameplay was fun and exciting. A few weeks later, after people has completed the game and seen the movie afterwards, the question was, "What is Banjo-Tooie." Some tried fruitlessly to access the secret items that Rare said could not be aquired until Banjo-Tooie, a new game, was released. Everyone wanted the secret items, so it was not long before alternitive ways of getting the items were found, using accessories like GameShark or Action Replay. Little was revealed about the game itself. Just before New Years 2000, 8 screenshots were released. More information was given. Finally, on November 20th, Banjo-Tooie was released.

The Story:
Rain patters on the top of the Spiral Mountain. The emerald eyes of the head carved into the hillside shine in the night. The witch Gruntilda still lies in the hole where she fell from the top of her lair two years ago. A strange, green figure moans in the night.

"Grrrrnnnn, Grrrrrrrrrrnnnnnn. No good, Misssstresssss. Sssstill can't sssshift thissss rock," Klungo pants, "and all becausssse of that sssstupid bear."
Meanwhile, Banjo, Kazooie, Bottles, and Mumbo are playing cards at Banjo's House. "Mumbo play well. Has much of bear's cash." Banjo sighs. "He's right, Kazooie. There goes your birdseed money." "Don't be so sure, Banjo..." Kazooie replies as she points to the window. "Hey! Look outside, everyone, Grunty the witch is coming!" Kazooie steals a stack of chips as everyone looks. "Where, Kazooie? I can't see her!" Bottles asks, confused. "Oh... Er, false alarm, Bottles. Must've been some shadows."
Outside the house, a huge drilling machine shows through the rock. Banjo's house shakes violently. Mumbo volunteers to investigate. The drill on the machine is lifted, and a witch steps out. The tall, skinny hag calls into the machine, "Hurry, Blobbelda, our sister is waiting." Another witch emerges from the bowels of the machine. "Quickly we must go, or angry Grunty will be!" She exclaims.
Mumbo watches as the witch sisters walk toward the boulder that traps Grunty. The two levitate the rock into the air and destroy it. Grunty climbs out of the hole andfinds that she is only a shadow of her former self. She is nothing but a walking sheleton. "No, no, no! This cannot be! What's happened to little old me?" Grunty cries. "Nice Grunty looks. Lost weight you have." Mingella states. "I hate bones, a body I need, can you help me with this little deed?" Grunty replies as she returns her eyeball to its place. "Yes, plan to help you we have, so back to our castle we must go," Blobbelda says. "Right then girls, let's fix me up, then Banjo's hairy butt I'll whup!" Grunty excitedly cackles. The witches spot Mumbo watching them. "Arrrggg. Seen us bony man has. Him we must whack!" Mingella yells. "Leave it to me, he's no hassle. I'll kick butt then off to the castle." Grunty says as she chases after him throwing spells.
In Banjo's house, Kazooie's luck has turned. "Guess I'll be having that birdseed after all, huh, Banjo?" Kazooie proudly boasts. Bottles isn't pleased. "But you cheated, Kazooie. That's not..." The door swings open. "Everyone...gasp...must run! ...pant...quick, Grunty coming!" Mumbo pants. Outside, Grunty stares at Banjo's house and grins at her golden oppertunity. "Revenge is mine, I cannot miss. Let's see the furry fool dodge this!" Grunty cackles.
Inside, Kazooie teases Mumbo. "Yeah, yeah, skull boy, and I bet she had two heads!" Kazooie laughs. "No joke. Look...pant...spell coming!" Mumbo insists. Banjo looks out the window. "He's right. Quick, everyone, out!" Banjo exclaims. Banjo, Kazooie, and Mumbo race outside. Bottles stays inside. "I'm not falling for that trick again! I'm staying right here." He snickers greedily as the speel destroys the house...The next morning Mumbo, Kazooie, and Banjo survey the ruins of the house. "Well, at least everyone got out safely." Banjo suggests. "Hang on, where's Goggle Boy?" Kazooie wonders as a blackened figure stumbles out of the house and falls to the ground. "Uh-huh. Mole looks much unwell." Mumbo observes. "It's worse than that, Grunty's killed poor Bottles." Banjo sadly adds. Kazooie laughs, "He wasn't the farorite character in Banjo-Kazooie anyway." "Sigh...I've a feeling it's not going to be so easy this time," Banjo thinks as a cackle sounds around them...
