As Leo takes a hike litteraly with his little bro, Lyric the Echidhogg, he asks him, "Hey Lyric! Whatcha think about theshit Alternator'sbeen givin us?" "Man, 's a buncha shit... Besides that, no comment." They have theirselves a little laugh as they reach Mushroom Hill. They meet their friends, Knuckles, the Chaotix, Freedom Fighters, and a few people that Leo has forgotten. "'Sup yall? I brought along my bro if ya don't mind." Leo says like no one better push him around or else kinda thing. Knux answers back, "Sure, Lie. (Lie = Leo Ice Echidna) I can handle it." Leo nods and motions Lyric to sit down. They both sit as Knux finishes his plan to get the ALternator. Then someone else walks in. A rabbit. Leo thinks, "Have I seen this person before?" And in the shape of the figure comes Hydro Death. "'Ey Leo!" Hydro yells out. Ami, wondering what the hell is going on between the two, starts getting pissed. "Leo, how's about we get back to the plan?" "Oh, right... Yeah.." He sits back down as a few people giggle and laugh. Knuckles tries FINALLY to finish his conversation. "Okay, the first thing we have to do is reach the Forbidden Zone and enter it." A few people gasp and yell out, "What da hell you talkin about??!!?" Leo, confused, asks Knux, "And for what reason? I know we ain't there just to play a game of hopscotch." Knux tries not to laugh, but continues, "The reason we have to enter is that my father may be in there, and I'm SURE the Alternator is there. I know it sounds a little risky but--" People interrupt, "Yer damn right risky!! We are NOT, I repeat NOT going into the Forbidden Zone!!" Knux sharply answers back, "Well too bad. You can go on just doin whatever you want, that's if you want to be killed. Now listen, the Alternator has a plan to take the Forbidden Zone to a new level. He plans to make the ENTIRE planet the Forbidden Zone! Right now he's gathering power, but soon, there will be no time, so we have to get in there and fight, damnit!!" The others cheer him on. Leo, kinda off-track about looking at Hydro for so long. Little does he know that a very pissed Ami is about to walk away and leave Leo staring at Hydro. "Damn... This ALWAYS happen... You get a boyfriend... then they start getting into other girls... This sux..." Ami mumbles under her breath as she walks to a nearby lake. Leo finally notices Ami and walks over to her. "What's up with you?" Ami quickly turns and sharply says, "You's what's up!! Your staring at Hydro like she was the only woman on Mobius!!!" Leo answers back, "Well, me and Hydro go a long way back. We used to date when we were only friends. I haven't seen her in a while so---" "Soo you try to get her back and dump me!!" Ami interrupts. Leo quickly answers back, "Listen, me and Hydro promised to go our separate ways, and it stayed that way! now why the hell would I dump you?" Ami growls. "You should know. I've been married to you for what, 5 years?" Leo interrupts. "6." Ami answers back, "Whatever. But you can't be goin out with other girls when your still with me!" Leo scowls, "I Haven't been seeing other girls besides you, now if you would shut the fuck up maybe---" Ami interupts, "No, I won't shut the fuck up, cuz I ain't gonna listen to your shit!!And if you---" Knuckles walks in the scene and ask them, "Everything alright?" Leo answers back. "Yeah. Just a few disagreements. We were just talking and stuff." Knuckles looks to Ami then to Leo. "Been fighting huh?" Leo sharply answers back. "Yep.... And it sux. She wont give me a chance to finish everything I say!" "Give it time. This stuff just slides right by." Knuckles answers. They go back to their seats, though Ami and Leo stay as far apart as possible for the time.
Electricity flies everywhere. Fire, burning like it could last forever. The Forbidden Zone. The Alternator is gaining power in his seat. He waits, looking helpless at the time. The alternator thinks, "If I only set it to full power.... I need more time..." Fire, burning passionately, flames everywhere. There is nothing else but the dark blood red sky. There are a few plants, the ones that keep the Forbidden Zone Survive.
Somewhere in the darkness of Echidnapolis, there is a shadow. A disfigured person walks through the Echidnapolis alleys. He is cautious. In the light, there is a skull mask. He is wearing all black, a strange Costume he has on. A cloak with hood, a robe, and he has an axe. He looks ready to kill. Kill all life. And would help... For a price. He walks out of the echidna--populated city. Two EST soldiers lie on the ground. Dead. Bleeding. They've been struck by the axe of the strange being. he walks toward the Mushroom Hill Zone. Pearing into the bushes, he sees everyone by two different campfires. As he looks through the night, he sees several tents. Each different from one another. The skull-face slowly, but quietly, move through the bushes. But he is not seen. He holds his battle axe under his cloak so no one sees the flash from the firelight. He walks to a nearby tree and flies up,waiting for everyone to fall asleep. Waiting until midnight. Killing hour.
Leo walks over to his tent which he shares with Lyric and Ami. He lays in one of the sleeping bags, waiting for the others. Ami pears through the tent as if she was a lonely fox waiting to enter a house. "Leo? Can I talk to you for a second?" Leo, sighing, answers, "Sure." He motions to Ami to sit by him. Ami sits indian style. "Leo, I'm sorry about earlier. It's just that I'm afraid I'm going to lose you." Leo replies, "I know... I couldn't help not looking at Hydro, it's just that she looks a bit different than the last time I saw her, which was a LONG time ago. So, I guess I'm sorry for getting you so pissed, huh?" Ami, giggling, nods abit. Their eyes meet. They kiss by lip. Lyric walks in, then jumps back, "Whoa!! Hold up with the fireworks and let me in!" Leo, which looks over to Lyric, Says, "And a husband and wife can't kiss every now and then?" Ami laughs a bit. "And were letting you in. Hey, if you can't take the heat, don't go into the kitchen." Leo and Lyric laugh a bit. Well, let's get some sleep, okay? They both nod. Ami and Leo sleep in a two-person sleeping bag and Lyric sleeps in a regular sleeping bag. Everyone is asleep. The fire is still burning to keep wild animals away. But they couldn't scare one of them. The person, eager to kill, the one with the skull mask. He jumps out of the tree. He slowly walks toward the first tent, which is a tent for Knuckles and one of his EST soldiers. The strange person walks in, looks at the sleeping bodies, and raises his axe. Someone grabs the axe and a very confused Lyric asks the person, "What the hell are ya doin' with that axe and my friends?" The skull face takes a swing at Lyric. (Then someone else grabs the Axe. Knuckles. "Thank god," says Lyric. "What do you think your doing, dude?" Knuckles grabs the skull face and raises him up. The person answers back, "I have come to kill. But i'm willing to stop... For a price." Knuckles sets the person down and asks him, "How much will it cost?" The person answers back, "Oh no.. That I don't want. The Alternator destroyed my homeland, and I want to have the honors of killing him." Knuckles grins. "Okay... Your in!" He sets his hand out. The skull face shakes his hand. As the masked figure walks away, there is a note in Knuckles hand. He reads: If I don't get what I want, you DIE. See you around, gotta fly.* Knuckles grabs the note and see sthe figure is gone.
The next morning they all wake up. Tired as they may be, Knuckles yell out over a megaphone, "Attention, attention! I know some of you may not like what I'm about to say, so listen up anyways. We have to get to the Forbidden Zone as soon as possible. So get what you need and hurry up." Leo walks out, pulling Ami out. A few minutes later, everyone is following Knux to the Forbidden Zone. As they approach the border, there is a strange cloaked figure. Not the skull face, but something else. The figure pulls off its hood and black costume. Appearing to be a raptor man (from MK: Anihilation. They're the ones that look like Baraka) He jumps out, a few coming out of nowhere. Leo looks at the Baraka clones. "Aw shit, we don't have time for this!" He tosses up a snowball and throws it at an airborne raptorman. It freezes, then falls to the ground, shattering. He does the same with the rest. "Too easy!" As they walk into the Forbidden Zone, they see Alternator. Electricity sparks out his eyes. He is not the same. He has blood-shot eyes. The white part of his eyes are blood red. Electricity flies everywhere. He raises his hand. "I knew you would come so soon. Too soon. Raptor men.... ATTACK." The raptors grab everyone behind their back. Alternator commands, "Take them to the dungeon. I'll settle with them later." They all teleport. The good guys are in chains. Leo looks around at all the surprised faces and thinks. "I don't think I may have a chance against Alternator... I may die before this is all over... I'm gonna kill him... even if there is blooslaughter everywhere. Even if it's my blood, I'm going to kill him."
He wanders off. Most people have decided to fall asleep. There is only one way to go from there. Tomorrow, he will enter the DreamWorld. He will search for Alternator, or if not, a chance to think about his plans. He my or may not die, but he will try to get Alternator.
