In this first installment of Antediluvian Awakening, I wish to address an issue which bothers all of us: rules variants. This especially pops up when new players join other groups. Some people play certain ways that others don't and a fuss ensues. Every one thinks that they're right!
All I have to say is... LIGHTEN UP!!! Everyone has their own opinions, but they should adjust accordingly to accomodate new and sometimes better rules! For instance, when I started playing, bleeding had an inherent +1 stealth! A couple of months and many rule book readings later, playing with someone new helped us cure this problem. Being a former card store owner, you see a lot of variants to all the games out there. A simple pre-game conversation of card caps, capacities and pool solves all and arguments would be avoided.
In closing, further editorials will be longer, more informative & requesting new ideas from you all. In the meantime....
