Pre-History
Formation of Lume
 | In the beginning, there was naught but a swirling mass of magic.
 | Out of the mass formed the world, moons, and sun.
 | The system has a will but not a personality and is called Lume
| | |
Time of Gods and Dragons
 | On the world formed the eternal elemental gods.
 | The elemental gods shaped the world and life on it according to the will of Lume.
 | The first mortal life after the elemental gods were the mighty dragons.
| | |
God Wars
 | New gods came in from outside and brought knowledge of good and evil.
 | Eventually the forces of good and evil began a ceaseless war that destroyed much of the life upon the world.
 | The will of Lume awoke and banished the gods from itself. From that point on the gods could only interact indirectly
upon the world through their worshippers whom they could only grant powers and communicate through signs, portents,
and dreams.

Pre-Cataclysm - Inaintelume

 | World of high magic and large Kingdoms.
 | Elvish Kingdom was the oldest and largest kingdom, with cities around the world linked through magic.
 | The Dwarven Kingdom ruled the mountains and tunnels beneath.
 | Kingdoms of the other races existed, but were much smaller.
 | Many of the other races were part of the elvish empire. Common is a form elvish made for other races (it takes
longer than a human lifetime to master the nuances of elvish).
 | Nobody truly knows what caused the disaster but many suspect that an uncontrolled gate to the elemental plane
of water was opened. The resulting dimensional instability caused gates to other places to open and shook the
world, woke ancient volcanoes, and caused wild magic surges.

Post Cataclysm - Apalume

 | A few survivors eke out a living on scattered islands.
 | The heart of known civilizations is known as Crossroads. It was once an intersection
of many Kingdoms.
