Twenty three U.S. Marines from the 2nd Marine Division are on a mission of revenge. They have been following the band of pirates that is moving to reinforce the pirates on the lighthouse island. They wish to take revenge on the pirates for killing are dozens of their buddies as well as their commanding officer, a Major Ted Fosterson.
The Marines were originally holding out in a village along the eastern Polish border when a band of pirates attacked the village. The Marines were initially taken by surprise, and due to that, they lost several men and the Major in command. When the Marines tried to force the pirates out of the village, they lost a couple more men, who were horrendously mutilated by the pirates. Since then, they have vowed to kill every last one of the pirates from that band.
They have been following the pirates for quite some time now, slowly picking away at the pirates, but also taking losses themselves. When they started their journey, they numbered around 45. Now they only have 23. They will do just about anything to get rid of what they consider to be the biggest threat in the area: Maraudering Pirates.
They are all equipped with their standard equipment, but ammunition is running low, about 1/4 of the original. They also have 2 M60A2 machine guns and have about 250 rounds left for each one. They also have 1 Bunkerbuster with 3 shots left, and 1 light 60mm mortar. The mortar has almost 30 rounds left for it, mostly HE, but also a couple of smoke and WP. They also possess 6 rubber inflatable rafts, which they have been using to follow the pirates.
They are under the command of Warrant Officer George "Berryman" Wright, so nicknamed because he has become sick from eating berries about 3 times while foraging. Second in command is Gunnery Sergeant Walt Simmons. The men are hateful any marauders, and will gladly help or accept help to eliminate any marauders they come across. They know nothing of the Soviets in the area, not do they really care until they get their revenge. Perhaps if they knew the reason behind the Soviets in the area, though, they might reconsider.
