Why Street Fighter Characters Talk in Japanese...
NOTE: These are not to be taken seriously, these are only here for some lame humor
Ryu - Ryu is originally from Japan and is Japanese. Thus, he knows how to speak Japanese.
Ken - Ken is able to speak in Japanese because he trained with Ryu in Japan. In order
to train in Japan he had to been able to pick up some Japanese.
Fei Long - Fei Long knows Japanese, because he is a Hong Kong movie star. He also did
some filming in Japanese which was a Japanese film, thus he learned Japanese.
Cammie White - Cammie is part of the British Intelligence Group and when she was kidnapped by
Vega and brainwashed, Vega inplanted some skills of knowin Japanese into her mind.
Chun-Li - Chun-Li is able to speak Japanese, because she lives in China and has gone traveling
to Japan and learned it somehow.
E. Honda - E. Honda knows Japanese because he -IS- a native Japanese.
Guile - Guile is in the United States Air Force army and part of their training
is to learn a foreign language and he opped to learn Japanese.
Vega - Vega is known as M. Bison in the US, but I like to refer the Japanese names.
Anyhow, he learned Japanese from picking up all the Japanese girls from the bars. He learned
some Japanese in order to flirt with them.
Sagat - Sagat is Vega's right hand man. He also lives in Thaliand which is close to Japan
and he did some training in Japan, thus he learned Japanese.
M. Bison - M. Bison is Balrog in the US. He knows Japanese because he is the head of
hotels in Shadoloo. In order to be head of hotels and talk to all the clients
he picked up some Japanese somewhere.
Balrog - Balrog is Vega in the US, again I like to refer to the Japanese names, because
that is where they originated from in the first place. Balrog is part of
Shadoloo and that's Vega's gang. In order to join Shadoloo, you must be
fluent in Japanese, thus Balrog learned it. Balrog is also is an assassin/fighter
and learned Japanese so he could talk to the people during the fight and
before he assassinated them.
These are the guys are questionable about why they know Japanese...
Dhalsim - This guy is from India and has no connection with Japan! He spends most
of his time with his family.
T. Hawk - T. Hawk is in Mexico and spends most of his time with his familty and doesn't
have time to travel to foreign countries. How did he pick up Japanese?
Blanka - Blanka doesn't speak Japanese in the movie, he just goes..ARRRRROOOUUUUU..grrrrrr...(ya
know animal sounds)
