Other information: Rei first appeared in "Sailor Moon" when many buses of school girls began to disappear from their stops. Sailor Moon and Mercury concerned that the Dark Kingdom was behind the whole incident decided that they should investigate the situation and try to stop the Dark Kingdom, if they were behind it. The two took a trip to the temple and met Rei. It seems that Rei and Usagi didn't get along from the start. Meanwhile, a young man who was working for the Dark Kingdom had emplyed himself at the temple and began to sell charms to school girls who would place them on their schoolbags for luck. Finally, deciding that they'd go and get on a bus themselves and see what happens, Sailor Moon climbs onto the bus herself, but Sailor Mercury doesn't come in time to catch it. The bus enters a portal where a number of other buses, which are the ones that have disappeared over time, are. Meanwhile, Rei, investigating herself, finds herself captured by a Dark Kingdom monster and dragged into the same place as Usagi. As Sailor Moon begins to "fight the monster," Rei is captured and she begins to scream. Luna sees the astrological sign of Mars on Rei's forehead and sees that Rei is Sailor Mars. Working as fast as she can Luna gets Rei to turn into Sailor Mars and, along with Sailor Moon, defeat the monster. With the help of Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Mercury the two escape the other world they were taken to and Sailor Mars joins the group of Senshi. Rei is the more spiritual person of the band of Senshi. For years, Rei has lived in her grandfather's temple, while her father goes to work as a politican (I believe. Mother's wearabouts unknown.).
