The danger with Doctor Clay is past, and Mihoshi is bringing him back to the Galaxy Police Headquarters. Meanwhile, Mihoshi's superior is busy figuring out what to do about Mihoshi's report about the past Kagato incident since it is so detailed. It turns out he has been feeding information about these events to the royal council on planet Jurai.
Back on planet Earth, Tenchi and Aeka are both out working on the yard of the Masaki shrine. A woman is then seen
climbing the steps of the shrine, and as she arrives at the top she encounters Tenchi. Tenchi is at a loss as to what to
say to the woman in front of him who is dressed in robes similar to those that Aeka wears. The lady asks Tenchi what is the matter,
then she asks Tenchi if she could see the keeper of the Masaki shrine. Tenchi says that he will go get his grandfather, and he runs
past Aeka to go get Yousho. Aeka notices Tenchi running and turns to look in the direction he had just run from. Seeing the woman,
she is stunned, for the woman is none other that her Aunt Funaho, the first queen of Jurai! Aeka greets Funaho, and then inquires something
from her. Funaho answers Aeka in the affirmative, and Aeka runs down the steps of the Masaki shrine towards the Masaki home.
Tenchi meanwhile has informed his grandfather Yousho that a woman was there to see him. Funaho then steps inside, and Yousho is stunned, for in front of him stood his mother. Since on Jurai people age very slowly due to the power of the Royal trees, Yousho's mother, though an Earthling herself, still looks to be a young woman despite the fact that she is hundreds of years old. Yousho and Funaho begin to catch up on old times, then Funaho begins to get to the point of her visit. Before continuing, she asks Yousho to drop his disguise of being an old man. Yousho is surprised that his mother could see through his disguise, and then he drops his illusion, revealing the young Yousho that Aeka had remembered. Funaho continues by saying that in Mihoshi's report were several items that were of great concern to the Juraians. First of all, the overall power of the Royal Trees is being weakened by the absence of several of the trees belonging to the people present on Earth, specifically Yousho's tree Funaho, Aeka's Ryu-oh, and of course Sasami's Tsunami. Furthermore, the gems that Ryouko possesses are powerful, and from the reports, it seems that if Ryouko were to possess all three gems, she could create Light Hawk Wings just like Tenchi.
Meanwhile, back in the Masaki home, someone is ringing the doorbell, and Sasami, being busy in the kitchen, asks Ryouko, who was awakened by the ringing, to answer the door. When she opens it, she is immediately caught up in a fierce hug by a woman who keeps saying, "Sasami, how I've missed you" over and over again. Ryouko tries to tell the woman that she is not Sasami, but the woman just keeps on fawning over Ryouko and commenting how much her "Sasami" had changed. Ryouko is then caught up in another hug when Sasami steps out of the kitchen, and seeing the woman, cries out, "Mommy!" The woman, on seeing the real Sasami throws Ryouko into the wall and runs to Sasami. Sasami and her mother, Misaki, the second queen of Jurai, hug each other in a cute scene while Ryouko slowly recovers from Misaki's throw.
Misaki and Sasami are in the Masaki living room with Ryouko at the entrance to the room when Aeka runs in, finding her mother. Her mother is happy to see her, and she calls her, "My little Aeka". Aeka, however, is unwilling to show too much affection in front of Ryouko, so she calls Misaki "mother". Misaki is not pleased with this, so Aeka warns Ryouko that Aeka was about to do something that Ryouko could make fun of, but it was for Ryouko's good that she does not. Ryouko agrees, then Aeka runs to her mom calling her mommy! Ryouko begins to laugh that Aeka is calling Misaki mommy when an angry Misaki lays hold of her and tells her that no one mocks her little Aeka. Aeka tells Ryouko that she told her so, then tells Sasami to prepare the "remedy". Sasami writes on a sign and holds it up, telling Ryouko to read it. Ryouko reads the sign, which says, "I'm sorry, pretty lady", and Misaki immediately stops and hugs Ryouko, saying that that was much better. Ryo-ohki however has just entered the room, and Misaki, seeing Ryo-ohki, exclaims, "How adorable" while throwing Ryouko into the wall again.
Funaho and Yousho are finishing their discussion, and Yousho tells Tenchi, who was outside the whole time, to escort Funaho back to the house. As they are walking down the steps, Tenchi then begins to talk to Funaho about his mother. Washu then appears, and Funaho and Washu recognize each other. Washu then tells Tenchi to bring the jug that she was carrying back to the house, and she would escort Lady Funaho back to the house. Tenchi is hesitant, but Funaho reassures him with a nod. Tenchi then takes his leave and heads home. Funaho then tells Washu that Washu must know the reason for her visit, and she asks Washu what her answer to Funaho's inevitable question would be. Washu answers that it was a no.
Back in the house, Ryo-ohki, in her humanoid form, is entertaining Lady Misaki with a rendition of "Twinkle, twinkle, little star". Misaki absolutely loves the performance. Tenchi then walks into the house, and Aeka and Ryouko welcome him home. Misaki then steps up to Tenchi saying, "So, you must be Tenchi". She then gives Tenchi a big hug, thanking him for looking after Aeka and Sasami. Aeka and Ryouko see Misaki hugging Tenchi, and they both walk up to her and ask her what she is doing. Misaki then tells them that she loves them all equally, and she hugs both Aeka and Ryouko. Sasami then tells Tenchi that the woman was Misaki, the mother of both her and Aeka.
Washu and Funaho are still walking down the steps when Funaho expresses her concern about Ryouko and Ryo-ohki's powers and that they could be mass-produced. Washu tells them that that is not her concern, but before Funaho could say anything, Washu says that in order to avoid alienating Tenchi she will no help anyone. She goes on to say that she will never create another Ryouko. Funaho thanks Washu for understanding, and comments on how great Washu's love must be for her daughter Ryouko. Washu responds that Funaho's great-grandson Tenchi is even greater. At that moment, a huge ship can be seen, and Washu remarks that the Emperor of Jurai, Azusa, has arrived.
Everyone is now outside the house (except Nobuyuki and Yousho). Aeka and Sasami are dressed in their formal Juraian clothing, and Tenchi and Ryouko are dressed up as well. Ryo-ohki is still in humanoid form and holding Sasami's hand. The King of Jurai then teleports down and looks over all of them. He comments that Aeka and Sasami both look fine. Aeka then introduces Tenchi. However, the emperor is not impressed, and he shocks all of them by telling Aeka and Sasami that they were going home. Aeka begins to protest, saying that she would like to be with Tenchi, and that Tenchi was Yousho's grandson. Even Sasami protests, saying that she would also like to stay with Tenchi, and that if her father forced her to go that she would hate him forever. Ryouko teases Aeka about not liking her dad, and Aeka and Ryouko get into another argument. Funaho shows up with Washu, and she asks Azusa what the girls really want. Both Aeka and Sasami express their desire to stay with Tenchi, and Azusa, after seeing that both of his wives were siding with Aeka and Ryouko, agrees to let Aeka and Sasami do as they please under one condition, that Tenchi defeats the new fiance that Azusa had chosen for Aeka. All the girls, even Ryouko after some persuasion from Misaki, ask Tenchi to fight for them, and a reluctant Tenchi agrees to do so. Tenchi's challenger, Seriyou, a noble of Jurai, then makes a dramatic entrance, and begins to belittle Tenchi, saying that Tenchi has no chance against him. As they face off, Azusa says that Seriyou will win quickly, and all the girls then begin saying that it is Tenchi who will win. Washu, however, says that she is betting on Mihoshi to win the fight. Everyone gives Washu puzzled looks, then the sound of a falling object catches their attention. Sasami runs and gives everyone umbrellas, even Azusa. Tenchi tries to point out the imminent disaster to Seriyou, but Seriyou fails to listen. Mihoshi, in her shuttle, then crashes into the lake by the Misaki home. Everyone is protected from the water by the umbrellas, and of the two would-be combatants, a very soaked Tenchi is still standing while an unconscious Seriyou is seen floating in the water. Tenchi is declared the winner, and thus Aeka and Sasami are allowed to stay. Funaho and Azusa then say their farewells to everyone and ask Tenchi to look after Aeka and Sasami. They also state that they plan to visit again soon. Azusa, Funaho, and Misaki then return to their ships and take off.
The following morning Tenchi steps out into the balcony and comments on how the preceding day had been action-packed. Then, the sounds of yet another argument between Aeka and Ryouko, intermingled with sounds of everyone else trying to calm them down, are heard, and Tenchi gives out a sigh. Out in space, a happy Misaki remarks that the Emperor seems to have taken a liking to Tenchi. A somber Funaho then observes that Tenchi is about to have more than he can handle. On his throne, Azusa mumbles that he is not through with Tenchi yet, and he begins to laugh as his fleet heads back toward planet Jurai. The scene closes with Misaki telling Funaho that next time they visit Tenchi and the others, they should stay a while, and to this Funaho agrees.
