It is a beautiful morning at the Masaki home, and Azaka and Kamidake remark on the wonderful Spring weather. Tenchi is slowly getting out of bed, but as he does so, a very bloodshot-eyed Ryouko phases through the wall to wish Tenchi good morning. This of course startles Tenchi who begins to run out of the room until he realizes it is only Ryouko. Tenchi asks Ryouko if she had been watching him all night, and when she says yes Tenchi tells her that he needs his privacy. He begins to walk to the bathroom while Ryouko to stay close by, and she even phases into the bathroom while Tenchi is using it, much to Tenchi's embarrassment. Ryouko is then seen outside Tenchi's door begging to be let in. Meanwhile, while Tenchi is in his room, he notices he is wearing the ring Tsunami gave him before the fight with Kagato. As he begins to twist is off his finger, he triggers the transformation into the Juraian battle armor.
Aeka has now woken up, and as she walks down the hallway, she notices Ryouko's antics and scolds her for displaying such behavior. At this point, Tenchi opens his door, causing Ryouko to fall into his room. Tenchi notices Aeka, and then tells her he needed to give her something. Tenchi places what appears to be a gem into Aeka's hand, and he tells her that Tsunami had given him Ryu-oh's seed to give to Aeka. Aeka is overjoyed for now she can regrow Ryu-oh. Tenchi remarks that this was wonderful news, and Aeka replies by saying that it was Tenchi who was wonderful. Meanwhile, Ryouko becomes jealous by this friendly exchange between Tenchi and Aeka.
Ryouko walks down the stairs and notices that both Sasami and Mihoshi are busy reading small books and showing dreamy expressions as they read. Ryouko decides to sneak up on Sasami and startle her. Ryouko then asks Sasami what she is doing, and Sasami says that she is reading comic book for girls which are like little guides on how to develop an Earth-style relationship. Ryouko then asks if these books could be used to start a relationship with Tenchi, and Sasami nods her head. Sasami then runs off wearing a mischievous look on her face while saying that she needed to prepare breakfast, thus allowing Ryouko to read the comic Sasami was reading.
Aeka has gone down to Washu's subspace laboratory which she has setup in the Masaki utility closet. Aeka asks Washu if she could create an environment where Aeka could plant and tend Ryu-oh. Washu says that she will do this under one condition...that Aeka calls her "little Washu" since she was little. After a while, Aeka agrees to this, and Washu pulls up Kagato's plans for a unit that he would have kept the tree Tsunami in if he had succeeded in capturing her and creates the unit out of a subspace portal.
Sasami has completed breakfast, and when Tenchi enters the kitchen, she asks him if he could tell everyone that breakfast was ready. Tenchi agrees, and then Sasami tells him that he should find Aeka in Washu's laboratory. Hearing Washu's name, Tenchi cringes, but he decides to go tell both Aeka and Washu that it was time for breakfast. Ryo-ohki follows Tenchi into Washu's lab. Entering the lab, Tenchi sees only Washu, and he asks Washu if she has seen Aeka. Washu says that she thinks Aeka is planting carrots in the arbory, and upon hearing this Ryo-ohki runs off to find Aeka and the carrots. Washu then tells Tenchi that he was the person she needed to see, and Tenchi replies in a joking manner that Washu was up to something. Washu exclaims,"Bingo!", then a strange apparatus comes behind Tenchi and binds him! Aeka meanwhile is in the subspace arbory planting Ryu-oh and watering it. She turns to get more water, but when she turns around to water Ryu-oh, she finds Ryo-ohki happily digging up what Ryo-ohki thinks is a carrot. Aeka gets hysterical, and nudging Ryo-ohki aside, tells the little cabbit that Ryu-oh was NOT a carrot.
Meanwhile, Washu is busy conducting experiments on a reluctant Tenchi. She has collected hair samples, skin samples, and blood samples in
an attempt to find out where Tenchi got the power he displayed in the fight against Kagato. She then appears in a nurse's outfit and tells
Tenchi she forgot one thing, a sperm sample. Tenchi begins to panic as Washu approaches him. However, right when she is about to proceed to
get the sample, in comes Mihoshi! Washu is startled, and Mihoshi asks Washu what she is doing. Washu says that she is playing doctor with
Tenchi. Washu begins to wonder how Mihoshi got into her lab since her lab was not a place someone can simply wander into. Mihoshi in the
meantime begins touching some of Washu's equipment, and things begin to go haywire!
Meanwhile, Ryouko is in Nobuyuki's (Tenchi's father) library where he keeps all of his girl's comic books. She is engrossed in finding out a way to make Tenchi fall in love with her. After reading a few books, she takes off to implement her plan. Meanwhile, Sasami is alone in the kitchen wondering where everyone was since breakfast was ready.
Tenchi has managed to get away from Washu's experimentations due to Mihoshi's distraction, and he steps outside only to run into Ryouko. From inside the house, Sasami realizes what is going on and watches through the window. Ryouko apologizes for running into Tenchi, and then she asks for Tenchi's name while introducing herself as Ryouko! Tenchi is confused and senses that Ryouko is up to something. When he checks if Ryouko has a fever, she shoves him away while saying that Tenchi is very bold for coming on to her like that. It becomes obvious that Ryouko is acting out a scene she read in one of the comic books, but Tenchi still has not figured out what is going on. Meanwhile, Aeka enters the room Sasami is in, and then she notices the commotion outside and asks Sasami what is going on. Sasami then introduces Aeka to the girl's comic books, and Aeka is inspired by reading some to try them out on Tenchi. Back outside, Ryouko is still acting when who shows up but Mihoshi, who begins to worry that Ryouko is coming down with something. Ryouko tries to get Mihoshi to go away since Ryouko was coming to the best part of the scene she is acting out, but Mihoshi would have none of it and drags Ryouko off to give her some medicine.
Tenchi begins to climb the steps leading to the family shrine to visit his grandfather Yousho when he trips over a rigged rope. Aeka then comes running up to him and asks him if he is all right while offering him some cloth to wipe himself off with. Aeka acts even more shy than she normally does, and then she runs off, turns around and tells Tenchi that her name is Aeka and to not forget her. Tenchi is very confused at why Aeka and Ryouko are acting strangely.
Aeka and Ryouko are spending a lot of time in Nobuyuki's library of comic books, and they try different things to get Tenchi to fall in love with them. Aeka tries knitting Tenchi a sweater, while Ryouko tries cooking. Aeka then sends a message via Ryo-ohki to tell Tenchi to meet her, a "secret admirer", after school. However, due to Ryouko destroying Tenchi's school when Ryouko and Tenchi first met, Tenchi no longer goes to school! Ryouko tries going to Yousho to ask his blessing for a marriage between her and Tenchi, but when she gets to the shrine, Yousho is already having a pleasant conversation with Mihoshi, asking her if she had ever considered being Tenchi's girlfriend!
Ryouko and Aeka meet with failure after failure, and they are both bathing in the floating onsen when Ryouko states that there are too many people in the way, like Washu and Mihoshi, and that they both needed to be put out of the way. Aeka agrees with her, and they shake hands and say that they will cooperate with each other in eliminating the competition. Ryouko then teleports to the Masaki shrine and asks Yousho if she can use the phone. She then calls the Masaki residence. Mihoshi answers the phone, and Ryouko deepens her voice and tells Mihoshi that it was her superior on the phone and that Mihoshi needed to report back to Galaxy Police headquarters. Mihoshi acknowledges this, but after hanging up she begins to wonder how she'll get back without a spaceship. Aeka then conveniently shows up and suggests that they ask Washu for help in the matter. Washu is able to bring back Mihoshi's ship from the subspace hole it was in (along with the monster Ryouko and summoned before, which Washu easily gets rid of), and a tearful Mihoshi then bids Tenchi and a very saddened Sasami farewell. Tenchi tells Mihoshi that she is welcome back anytime. After Mihoshi leaves, Aeka installs an invisible force field around the entrance to Washu's lab so that Washu would no longer be able to interfere.
Mihoshi returns to her ship in orbit, and she radios her report on what has transpired back to headquarters. Her real superior then appears on a screen and congratulates Mihoshi for the resolution of the Kagato case. He then informs Mihoshi that she is up for a promotion and reassignment to Galaxy Police headquarters. Mihoshi then states that she respectfully requests to remain assigned to the Sol system. Her superior then tells her that Earth was under the jurisdiction of Jurai's royal family and that she needed special permission to remain on Earth. Mihoshi then tells him that she already has permission from the prince of Jurai, Tenchi. She then cuts the transmission off before her superior could get in a response, and then she takes off for Earth.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, it seems that Ryouko has doublecrossed Aeka. Ryouko has Aeka tied up on the floor of the utility shed, and Ryouko then proceeds to Tenchi's room with the intention of sneaking in and having a little "fun" with Tenchi. She reaches his door, but as she opens the door she finds herself above the lake outside the Tenchi home, and she falls in. Dripping wet, she runs up the stairs only to find Aeka there and obviously free from the rope. Aeka had installed a special force field on Tenchi's door that would not let anyone in without knocking first. Aeka and Ryouko get into a big argument, and then the inevitable happens...they fight.
Sasami meanwhile is having another nightmare. In this nightmare, she is walking alone in the darkness when the floor below her collapses, and she falls a long way. The scene fades, and Sasami is lying in a pool of her own blood. Tenchi appears, and he stretches out his hand to help Sasami when a huge hand grabs Tenchi and pulls him away. Sasami yells not to have Tenchi taken away, and then she begins to sink in her blood. Sasami awakens from her nightmare and begins crying. She looks for Aeka, but Aeka is not in the futon next to her. She then walks out of the room, down the hallway past Aeka and Ryouko who are grappling with each other, and knocks on Tenchi's door. She asks him if she could sleep in his room because her nightmare frightened her. Aeka and Ryouko hear this and begin to run to Tenchi's room. However, they open up the door without knocking and end up taking a dip in the lake. Tenchi hears a noise outside his room, but Washu, who was also in Tenchi's room, comments that it was just two wet fools who forgot to knock. Tenchi doesn't hear her comment. Meanwhile, Aeka and Ryouko climb out of the lake, and lean against each other, exhausted. Just then a whining noise can be heard, and looking up, they see Mihoshi's ship coming straight for the house! Mihoshi is not paying attention to the controls, and as Aeka and Ryouko see Mihoshi's ship coming before them, they begin to laugh hyterically.
The next morning slightly burned Azaka and Kamidake again comment on the wonderful spring weather. Behind them, the Masaki home is in ruins. However, in Washu's subspace realm in the closet, everyone is sleeping fitfully. Aeka slowly wakes up, and then she notices Ryo-ohki near Ryu-oh. She begins to panic and runs over to Ryo-ohki, grabs the little cabbit, and begins to scold. However, she realizes that Ryo-ohki was not endangering Ryu-oh, and in fact Ryo-ohki was happily communicating with Ryu-oh. Everyone else wakes up as Aeka calms down while Ryo-ohki sits in Aeka's lap and meows happily.
