Apparently Mihoshi is having a dream as she is running with Ryo-ohki through a field. She then comes across the Seven Dwarfs with a sleeping Snow White, except instead of Snow White it is Ryouko! Not noticing, Mihoshi just runs right over Ryouko. Next Mihoshi stops to have a chat with Little Red Riding Hood who is in fact Sasami. She then chats with an witch, who is Aeka, and devours her apples. Puzzled, Aeka takes an apple and bites into it, immediately falling asleep. Mihoshi and Ryo-ohki then come upon a gingerbread house, and they immediately begin to devour it. The only thing left is an egg, and Mihoshi eats this, though she appears to start choking on it.
Back to reality, Tenchi, Sasami, and Aeka are busy working when they notice Mihoshi tossing and turning while she is asleep on the porch. Aeka, somewhat irritated, goes over and wakes Mihoshi up. Tenchi comments that Mihoshi must have been really exhausted. Aeka then remarks that Mihoshi hasn't done a thing. Ryouko, playing what appears to be a Gameboy, also joins in, saying that Mihoshi sure is lazy. Aeka replies by saying that Ryouko isn't much better, and Ryouko then begins making faces at Aeka. Aeka begins to wonder out loud how Mihoshi ever became a Galaxy Police detective, to which Mihoshi replies by saying that she is a very competent detective who has solved a lot of cases, such as the case of the Ultra Energy Matter. Sasami asks if Mihoshi can tell the story, but but Mihoshi hesitates. Ryouko says that it is because Mihoshi is making it all up. Mihoshi rises to Ryouko's challenge and begins to narrate the story of how she and her partner, First Class Detective Kiyone, solved this particular case. Mihoshi begins her narrative. . .
. . .It was the period of time of the Galactic Financial Crisis, and there had been a rash of thefts of Ultra Energy Matter. It appeared that a notorious space pirate, whom Mihoshi will call Ryouko for this story... At this point of Mihoshi's narrative, Ryouko protests being cast as the space pirate. She then grabs Mihoshi and tells her that she has no right to be cast in Mihoshi's story without her permission. Mihoshi says that she is just using her and everyone else in her story to make it more understandable and believable. Aeka then comments that Ryouko's role of a space pirate in the story is great casting by Mihoshi. . . . . .So, the space pirate Ryouko has just completed plundering another shipment of Ultra Energy Matter when all of a sudden a Galaxy Police detective, whom in this story is named Tenchi, comes in and catches Ryouko red-handed. The scene then pans out as a shot is heard being fired.
Back at a Galaxy Police branch office, Mihoshi is late for work and is running over everyone in her attempt to get to the office. She arrives late, and her irritated partner, Kiyone, fills her in on the details of the case they have been assigned, the facts being that Ryouko has robbed yet another shipment of Ultra Energy Matter and this time has Detective Tenchi held captive. Then, into the office walks Aeka who is playing the role of a Juraian duchess and also the self-appointed fiance of Detective Tenchi. Aeka has arrived to implore both Kiyone and Mihoshi to find Tenchi and rescue him. Sasami, an apprentice detective in this story, is serving tea to everyone at this time. The four of them then take off to find Tenchi.
Along the way, Kiyone asks why both Sasami and Aeka have come along when this could be dangerous. Sasami said that she is a junior detective, so she has come to help. Aeka said that she is Tenchi's fiance, and she can't just sit around when he is in danger. Mihoshi asks Kiyone to understand how Aeka feels since it's obvious Tenchi's her last chance to get married and she doesn't want to become an old maid. . .
Now it is Aeka's turn to get angry at Mihoshi for apparently being made fun of in Mihoshi's story. Mihoshi assures Aeka that the character in her story only has Aeka's name in common with the real Aeka, nothing more. To this Ryouko mumbles yet another snide remark. . .
. . .Back to the story, the four women locate Ryouko's hideout and begin to sneak in. Mihoshi, however, discovers a doorbell and decides to ring it! Fortunately for the group, apparently nobody inside the hideout notices it. Inside Ryouko's hideout, Ryouko has been giving Detective Tenchi some sake in an attempt to get him in a position where she can take advantage of him. Just as she gets him cornered and pinned to the floor, Aeka storms in, announcing that she has come to rescue Tenchi. She then notices the position Ryouko has Tenchi in, and Aeka takes the situation the wrong way and immediately goes berserk, literally tearing apart Ryouko's hideout. In the end, Ryouko is taken into custody.
Back at the office, Kiyone comments that although they have captured Ryouko, they still have not found the missing Ultra Energy Matter. Mihoshi is going through an album they found at Ryouko's hideout and comments on how cute a certain picture was. Both Kiyone and Sasami look at the picture of Ryouko with the number one mad scientist, who in this story is Washu, and come to the conclusion that it is Doctor Washu who is behind the thefts. . .
Here the story is once more interrupted as the group smells something burning, and running into the house, discover Washu cooking fish without much success. . .
. . .In the detention hall, Mihoshi is visiting Ryouko in her cell and trying to convince Ryouko to help them find Doctor Washu. Mihoshi says that she believes that Ryouko is really a good person inside. Ryouko seems affected by Mihoshi's kind words, and in the end she agrees to help. As Mihoshi opens the cell, it turns out Ryouko was lying and takes the opportunity to escape, stealing a shuttle and once again kidnapping Detective Tenchi. In the office, Sasami is tending to a stunned Kiyone while Aeka is chastising Mihoshi for allowing Ryouko to escape, not to mention losing Tenchi. Mihoshi then promises to get Tenchi back, and the four of them take off once again to find Tenchi.
They soon come upon Doctor Washu's ship, the Souja, and they board it and begin looking for Tenchi, Ryouko, and Doctor Washu. As they wander in the darkness, they become stuck in a giant roach motel except for Sasami and Ryo-ohki. Ryo-ohki then spies a plate of carrots and runs towards it with Sasami trying to stop Ryo-ohki. It's too late, however, as a trap door opens, and Sasami and Ryo-ohki fall into it.
The scene changes as Aeka, Kiyone, and Mihoshi are tied to crosses. Detective Tenchi is tied to a bed as Ryouko prepares to have her way with him as Tenchi struggles to get free. Mihoshi, Kiyone, and Aeka slowly awaken to find Doctor Washu in front of them. Washu introduces them to her latest invention, the Galaxy Destroyer. She then demonstrates it by activating it. Huge hammers protrude from it, and it begins to shatter reality. Back at the bottom of the trap door Sasami and Ryo-ohki fall through, Ryo-ohki awakens Sasami and then tells her to transform into Pretty Sammy (think Sailor Moon). Sasami then undergoes a transformation sequence a la Sailor Moon and becomes Pretty Sammy. Meanwhile, Ryouko is about to do take advantage of Tenchi when she is knocked unconscious from behind by Pretty Sammy. Back in Washu's chamber, reality is slowly breaking apart when a bright light appears out of nowhere, and out of this light appears Pretty Sammy and Tenchi. Pretty Sammy then frees Mihoshi, Kiyone, and Aeka who runs to Tenchi. Washu asks who Pretty Sammy is, and Pretty Sammy says that she is merely a magician who is here to stop Washu from destroying the galaxy. Washu then sends a pack of mecha-Ryoukos after them, but Pretty Sammy stops them with the power of love. With love-filled eyes, the mecha-Ryoukos immediately begin to go after Tenchi! Meanwhile, Pretty Sammy blasts the Galaxy Destroyer's remote control out of Washu's hands and Kiyone retrieves it. Mihoshi follows Kiyone but trips on a banana, knocking Kiyone with the remote control into the Galaxy Destroyer's power core. The resulting reaction causes the Souja to self-destruct. Mihoshi, Pretty Sammy, Tenchi, Aeka, and Ryo-ohki make their escape before the ship explodes.
On her spaceship, Mihoshi, with Sasami (she transformed back), Aeka, and Tenchi are heading back to Galaxy Police headquarters. They all then have a moment of silence as they remember the "sacrifice" Kiyone made in order to save all of them. . .
It appears that Ryo-ohki is the only one awake at the end of Mihoshi's story as everyone else has fallen asleep around her. She then thanks Kiyone once again and says that she will never, ever forget her. Out in deep space, Kiyone is seen stranded among the remains of the Galaxy Destroyer. With apparent rage, she screams out, "Mihoshi! I swear I will KILL you!" (This last scene is evidence that Mihoshi's story has some truth behind it).
