History
Max originated as the Supermonkeys, a popular jpop group in Japan. Present day superstar, Amuro Namie was one of the original members. The others were
- Minako Ameku(Mina!!!!)
- Nanako Takushi(Nana)
- Hisako Aragaki
- Anna Makino
Before their second single, Anna left the group. Around the time of their fourth single Hisako left and Rino Nanasone joined. She too soon left.
(Man, problems huh? Not to worry, it'll become all better.)
Before the release of her smash hit "Try Me", Amuro was already emerging as the star of the group.
However before the single was released, two more people joined the group:
- Reina Miyauchi(Reina)
- Ritsuko Matsuda(Lina)
After the success of "Try Me", Namie and the Supermonkeys broke up and Namie contined to rise to superstardom in Japan.
The remaining Supermonkeys became Max and are one of Japan's most popular groups. They have already begun to tour Japan.
As well, they have appeared on several popular Japanese music variety shows, including "Hey!Hey!Hey! Music Champ"(they even made several appearances).
i have several of their television apperances on tape and i can say that they were spectacular.
