RANMA 1/2 : VOLUME 1
The long awaited arrival of Soun Tendo's long time friend is about to happen, but in their place come a girl and a panda with a terrible secret. After a slight incident in the bathroom, the secret is exposed to the family, much to their surprise. After settling down, Ranma goes to school with Akane and Nabiki to discover that everyday Akane has to defeat a group of boys, who, among them, is Tatewaki Kuno. Kuno and Ranma get into a fight and it rains, almost exposing Ranma's secret. During class, Kuno finds out about the engagement between Ranma and Akane and challenges Ranma to another duel in anger.
RANMA 1/2 : VOLUME 2
The battle between Kuno and Ranma rages on, but Ranma wins after becoming a girl. Being defeated by the female Ranma, Kuno falls in love and makes a meeting arrangement with its sole purpose being to announce his love for the pig tailed girl. Kuno continues his campaign for the hearts of Akane and female Ranma, and Nabiki steps in with overpriced photos of both females for sale to Kuno. This fuels Kuno's flame, and thinking that Ranma is an enslaver of women, he challenges him to another duel, showing more formidable abilities than their previous encounter.
RANMA 1/2 : VOLUME 3
Ranma's frequent violent encounters with Kuno and even more frequent beatings from Akane makes Ranma the regular at Dr. Tofu's chiropractic clinic. While at the clinic, Ranma finds out that Akane has feelings for Dr. Tofu, and also finds out that the feelings may not be completely mutual, because Dr. Tofu obviously loves someone else. Ranma finds out that when Kasumi is around, that one should never consult the doctor with any neck troubles. After finding out the hard way, Ranma has to find a way to cure his neck, and to console a heart broken Akane, in one way or another.
RANMA 1/2 : VOLUME 4
"The Eternal Lost Boy", Ryouga Hibiki, suddenly appears in Tokyo holding a grudge against Ranma. He seems to be furious that Ranma skipped a fight, even though it took Ryouga 4 days to arrive there, while Ranma only waited three. Ranma's first objective is to defend himself and to figure out why Ryouga is so mad at him. In the second fight after Ryouga finds his way back to Furinken High, Ryouga ensures that the two can't be seperated with a set of cuffs. While the fight rages on throughout most of Tokyo, Akane's hair is suddenly cut off...
RANMA 1/2 : VOLUME 5
Angered at Ranma and Ryouga for cutting off her hair, Akane gets Kasumi to even out the cut before heading over to Dr. Tofu's over her hurt ankle. Her short hair helps Akane come to terms with the fact that Tofu likes Kasumi better, and she's not so upset about it anymore. Ryoga challenges Ranma to a fight in the rain in the middle of the night, and during the fight, Ranma soon discovers that Ryouga went to Jusekyo and got cursed himself. After finding out that Ranma was involved with Ryouga's curse, his anger builds until Akane falls in love with his cursed side. Adopted as a pet pig and named P-Chan, Ryouga falls in love with Akane, and has to avoid Ranma, who is making several attempts to expose his curse to Akane.
RANMA 1/2 : VOLUME 6
After the Black Rose, Kodachi Kuno, injures the entire Furinken High Gymnastics squad, Akane volunteers to take their place. The Black Rose happens to be the captain of the St. Hebereke gymnastics squad, who have a long list of victories due to forfeiture. On one of her attempts to injure Akane, Kodachi runs into and falls in love with Ranma. Out of love for Ranma, a stipulation is added to the fight. Even though the winner gets Ranma, Akane still wants to win. A last minute injury requires a last minute substitute, and the substitute is female Ranma, with Ryoga using any means neccessary to make sure Ranma loses the match.
RANMA 1/2 : VOLUME 7
Finally, the long awaited match between the Black Rose, Kodachi Kuno and Ranma Saotome in female form begins. Different varieties of weapons are thrown into action, but the odds are all stacked up against Ranma. There's P-Chan, the kettle of hot water, and the entire gymnastics squad under the ring! The conclusion of the match is a shocking one! Later on, Dr. Tofu has a surprise guest at his house, who turns out to be his mother who is determined to pick a bride for her son. Her only criteria in picking his wife is her childbearing abilities. How can Dr. Tofu have a chance of marrying Kasumi when Akane, Nabiki and Ranma get into the bridal selection process?
RANMA 1/2 : VOLUME 8
Ranma thought she was safe from the threat posed by Shampoo, an Amazon from the village of Joketsuzoku. Defeating Shampoo in combat while in his female form, Ranma was given the kiss of death, which is a promise to destroy the person it was given to. Finally in Japan, Shampoo has caught up with Ranma and intends to fulfill her promise, when Ranma defeats her in her male form. Shampoo reveals that she is required to marry any male outsider who defeats her. Driven for her hatred for female Ranma and her love for male Ranma, Shampoo is unaware that they are one and the same. After cooking P-Chan as part of a special meal for male Ranma, Akane challenges Shampoo to a match in which she is robbed of any memory of Ranma.
RANMA 1/2 : VOLUME 9
Ranma discovers that Akane's memory of Ranma has been erased by a very particular shampoo form China. The more disturbing news, is that a different one from that one is needed to restore her memory, and Shampoo has the only bottle anywhere near Tokyo. Ranma is forced to make an agreement with Shampoo, and now has to find someone who'll be willing to beat up his girl side. As time progresses, it becomes more clear to Ranma that he is going to have to expose his secret to Shampoo. After Shampoo departs, Ranma and Genma get into a fight because Rnama wants to go back to China and find a cure for his curse. However, Genma must use all that has happened in an effort to keep Ranma from leaving.
