Kei at Lizard Live House

In episode 31, Miki sees Kei on the street one night after work. She follows him into the basement of some building and finds herself in a live jazz club called Lizard Live House. Lizard Live House turns out to be a place where Kei-kun hangs around quite a bit.

Miki asks Kei-kun what he's doing at Lizard, to which Kei-kun replies that he's just killing time. Kei is told that this is Miki's first time to be in a live house, and he notices that Miki is enjoying the live music very much. Kei-kun then gets up from his table and asks Miki to wait there.

He speaks to the pianist on the stage who then gets up and let Kei sit at the piano. Miki is totally surprised by this, but is even more surprised when she finds Kei playing a wonderful piano piece on stage. (This song can be found on the Concert page.)

In episode 39, Kei asks Miki to go to Lizard after work. Although she doesn't really want to, she does show up at Lizard. Kei is totally happy at seeing her; he tells Miki that since he met her, he feels like playing the piano again. Kei then walks up to the stage and plays "Moment" for her. (The full song can be found in Kei's Concert page.) Miki thinks to herself that although she understands Kei's feelings towards her, she cannot return his love.

In episode 40, Kei is filling for the regular pianist at Lizard. The boss thanks him afterwards and says that he will have to pay Kei if he keeps on doing this. Kei says that he just likes to play at Lizard and asks if he can play here often.

The last appearance of Kei in Lizard Live House is episode 41 -- Christmas Eve. Lizard is holding a Lovers' Night. Kei invites Miki to go. Miki says that her boyfriend, Yuu, will also go with her. While Miki is waiting for Yuu at Lizard, Kei, dressed in a tuxedo on stage, announces that the piece that he is going to play, is a Christmas present for someone he loves most (Miki) who is sitting downstage. This piece that he has written is called "For You". (This song can be found in Kei's Concert Page.) Miki panics at hearing this, wishes Yuu to arrive as soon as possible (Yuu didn't show up at the end due to some emergency). The music, however, is very beautiful; Miki even tells Kei that it is too beautiful for her. Something has also happened afterwards, and is described under this link.
