She begins the climb, wondering where the huge flight of stairs is leading. Then she takes the final step and sees before her a vast plaza of stone and above her, a huge castle, its turrets and parapets pointed down toward the ground!

Kyouichi appears before her, unfazed. "You are the first, except for the Council, to see the towers of that city; it is because you bear the Seal of the Rose."

"Seal of the Rose?" Utena asks.

"Like THIS!" Kyouichi holds up his hand, and shows a ring on his finger identical to that Utena wears.

"That ring!" Utena stares at the ring in amazement.
