Reluctantly, the marines is given money to fight these pirates, but the pirates themselves have many contacts in the government, and seek to thwart the marines's efforts to eliminate them. The rivalry between the marines and the police comes to a head in the most spectacular bar-room brawl ever filmed. Eventually the two rival groups unite against the pirates and mount ab action packed raid on their lair. One marines officer is Dragon Ma (Jackie Chan), who is determined that his beloved marines will not be made fools of.Jackie is a cost guard officer who is intentend to send after pirates who terrorise all the ships on China Sea and cities around the sea. After a fight between jackie's navy and local police forces, coast guard unit is dispanded and Jackie with other sailors must work under the local police forces they just fought. And there is a traitor among them working for pirates. When they seems to not succee to capture pirates Jackie quits and goes after pirates with a team of Samo hung as a gambler and police officer Yuen Biao. After all Project A is really enjoyable movie with a lot of great action mixed with plenty of really funny humor. And the story is rally good this time. Absolutely it is most recommended and it also is one of the jackies most popular films, a real classic. Also both Samo Hung (sometimes called a fastest fat man alive) and Yuen Biao (incredible how he can move) are doing great job. When these three come together you can be sure they make some great movie. The ``hanging from the clock tower'' stunt is a homage to Safety Last (1923). At least three different takes were shot; two are shown during the course of the film, and a third at the end under the credits.Clock Stunt (647k Quicktime movie) Project A made fourteen million Hong Kong dollars in its first week of release.Jackie Chan (to Jay Lin): One day when I was making Project A, people told me, 'We just saw the new Steven Spielberg movie and it had a bicycle scene.' That scared the shit out of me! I went and saw the movie. It was E.E., so I went on and did my bicycle scene and it was totally different tahn Spielberg. Actually, in his last Indiana Jones film, he [Spielberg] learned from me (motorcycle stunt in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). That made me very happy.
