Thunderbolt; 1995 HK
Synopsis shortly: Car races drives around illegally with his fast racecar. Jackie is a mechanic, who just finished
his studies in Mitsubishi Motors, Japan and now he's back in Hong Kong. Jackie helps police to catch that racer, but they must let him go.
He challanges Jackie to a car-race with him and they really meet each other on track in big car race in Japan. Before it hppens there is many
wild car chases and some real hard martial arts scenes. I was suprised to see how amazing this really is. You really should see this one!
Jackie's characte's name is Jackie Chan! in English subtitles. Jackie Chan always finds a way to break his own record in the production budget category, and has stayed on top of the "Waterworld" list of HK for years. Boasting a 200 million budget, Thunderbolt surpasses Rumble in the Bronx and is by far the most expensive HK film ever made. It has however not been able to top Rumble 's BO which still holds the no. 1 slot for the top grossing local films in HK.
