When members of the Russian Mafia pose as KGB agents to steal a nuclear missile, the CIA calls on martial arts master Jackie Chan to stop them. English dubbing just does not work in this. For example Jackie has a translator sitting beside him during a meeting with Russian military men when everyone in the room speaks English. Also they did cut about 30 minutes (American editor was Michael J Duthie) and left a collection of action scenes only. 83 minutes is very short for a major theatrical release today. And without new opening and closing credit sequances actual running time is only 76 minutes! |
