Jackie Chan plays Dragon, the son of a wealthy business man. His social life is dominated by chasing after the local beauties and taking part in the local sporting events. But his life takes a turn when he accidentally stumbles upon a band of villains who are planning to sell off the country's national treasures. This leads ragon into a spectacular adventure. DRAGON LORD marked the birth of a new form of action comedy, replacing many of the intricate fights scenes with over the edge crazy stunts and quick cut fight scenes. This new style of action has now become a recognised trademark in many of his more recent movies which has been the inspiration for many of today's Hong Kong Movie stars. It's also of interest to note that it was during the shooting of DRAGON LORD that Jackie set the world record for the most amount of takes for one shot. He took over 1,000 takes for one particular scene, highlighting the perfectionist he is. Note that the Subtitled version contains previously unseen footage and includes the original cinema trailer.
