Greetings and Welcome to the Official Homepage of the Indian Cultural Society at NUS.

In keeping with the Society's aim to promote Indian culture, the Society has engaged itself in various activities over the past years, the most recent of which was the Cultural Fortnite. The Cultural Fortnite was organized for the very first time by the society with the primary objective of promoting awareness of our rich and varied culture to both Indian and non-Indian undergraduates within campus. It also hosts a CulturalBazaar, an upcoming event not be missed, to cultivate an appreciation of our colourful and vibrant culture.

Besides embarking on cultural activities, the Society also involvesitself in community projects, with respect to our Indian community such as the annually held Motivational Workshop. The Motivational Workshop serves to identify secondary school students with difficulties in keeping up withthe rigors of education, with the hope of propelling them towards tertiaryeducation. The NUS Indian Cultural Society has been abounded with momentousactivities and achievements, both big and small.

This homepage seeks to provide up-to-date information on our Society as well as to commemorate the events which have brought the society to where it stands this present day. The society thanks one and all for making our recent Cultural Fortnite a success. We look forward to your continued support and feedback. I hopeyou enjoy looking through the pages of our webpage. Do look out for our upcoming activities!

Warmest regards!

Lubna binti Haroon Rashid
President

The NUS Indian Cultural Society, since it's inception in 1967 had endeavoured to promote the intersts of the Indian community both within and without the varsity. We are not exclusive in nature, and on the contrary, are very receptive to undergraduates of other races and religions. The richness of the Indian Culture still holds much to be discovered and we aim to share our various activites.

As members of our community who have benefited most from the educational opportunities provided for by the nation, we realise that we have a duty to guide and assist our fellow Indians in any way and help to uplift the status of Singapore's Indian community.

With all these in mind, we have met and would like to continue to meet the following objectives :-

1. To promote awareness of our Indian Culture among both our Indian and non-Indian undergraduates of the University.

2. To hold lectures, exhibitions and workshops in furtherance of the promotion of the Indian culture.

3. To print, publish or distribute any books, papers or other materials for the promotion of the above objectives.

4. To organize and conduct any further activities in accordance with the abovesaid objectives.
