Manga Description

Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon consists of 52 acts, collected into 18 tankubon (volumes) of manga. It ran from 1992 to March 1997 in the monthly magazine Nakayoshi, and its tankubon are published by Kodansha.
While the manga is divided into similar 'seasons' like the anime, each arc is named differently. For example, the manga equivalent of 'Sailormoon S' is 'Infinity.' as the anime is, the manga acts are grouped together similarly.
Sailormoon Volumes 1 - 4 of the manga go under the title, Sailormoon. They correspond with the first season of the anime. Both the anime and manga follow the plotline of finding the senshi, defeating the generals, and finding the moon princess who will defeat Metallia. However, the manga is necessarily more concise.
