Sailors Lethe and Mnemosyne only appear in the Sailormoon manga. Because they guard the rivers in Shadow Galactica, which is all desert, they are sometimes referred to as the Desert River Senshi. Neither one of these "villains" are truly evil, but Galaxia threatened their small planets, and they were forced to work for her. Sailor Lethe (the one in green) is the guardian of the River of Oblivion, which is a part of the Zero Star of Sagittarius (also called the Galaxy Cauldron). She is from the planet Lethe. Although she looks like Mnemosyne, there are a few differences in both appearance and personalities. Lethe wears a green dress and her hair loops in the back four times, then sweeps down into ponytails. If you look at her face, you can tell that she's more fierce and passionate than Mnemosyne, who always seems to have a worried look. Lethe's crueler eyes do seem to fit her personality. She's certainly not as timid as Mnemosyne. Sailor Mnemosyne (in purple) is the guardian of the River of Memory, also in the Zero Star of Sagittarius. She is from the planet Mnemosyne. She can easily be distinguished by her purple dress and four curly ponytails tied with small string bows. Mnemosyne's weakness lies in her timid personality. She can't do much on her own and was easily tricked by Galaxia to work for her. The pair's only known attack is "Galactica Musotis Alpastonis!" Little to nothing is known about this attack, but when used on Sailormoon it seemed to cause her great pain. Unfortunately, Sailors Lethe and Mnemosyne were destroyed by Sailors Chi and Phi after Mnemosyne stopped Lethe from destroying Sailormoon. <<--back
